The Scene
It looks like a small, dark, windowless tavern with wood paneling and beer signs on the walls. There are benches around the perimeter of the room and a few tables in the center. But it's cozy and lively and usually filled with U. students relaxing between classes.
The Food
For breakfast, there are several omelets that come with hash browns, toast and jelly. If you're in the mood for a real gut-buster, go for the Gawd Awful--it's two eggs over hash browns, topped with chili and cheese. For lunch, there are sandwiches and burgers. Ed's burger is two smallish beef patties topped with bacon, cheddar cheese, lettuce, onion and tomato. It comes with fries and soup or salad. If you're looking to warm up between classes, grab a bowl of the spicy chili.
