The Flamingo has great food, very clean establishment, owner is very particular about the cleanliness and quality of food. He takes care of the customers and if you have a VALID complaint, he will address it. The owner's mother is a fabulous woman who makes the Greek specialties home made and she's a cutie!!!

Old Owner should of never left. Weird feeling in here..Employees hated there boss PHIL who is arrogant ..Food was good and service was excellent..Employess say this place was ran by another couple years ago that moved away and this new guy PHIL has ran off everyone with his mouth and inability to smile..STAY AWAY !!!

bad owner. we ate there Sat, the stuffed pork chops were over done ,didn't eat much of them,we let the waitress know and she told the owner.she didn't come by and check and when we went to pay and told her again she didn't care that it was bad and did not eat it. worst 30.00 dollars I've spent. ( the waitress and her service was good )

Very (Kid) Friendly. Searched on a whim for kid-friendly places near Romulus since we were heading to see someone before their pm flight out of DTW. So glad we took a chance on Flamingo. INCREDIBLE service. Crayons and a coloring page were brought without needing to ask for them. Food is fine - nothing special, but certainly well worth the very reasonable prices. Super friendly. Locally owned. What else could you ask for?

Families come here in droves for home-style meals that are nearly as cheap as staying home.. In Short
Downriver residents are lined up out the door at the family owned restaurant. Fast and friendly service; a step up from diner decor. A bewilderng array of traditional American dinners and an equal number of daily specials are homemade; turkey with dressing and cranberry sauce, T-bone, veal or eggplant parmesan, gyro and spinach pies, Greek or chef salads, burgers, fried perch, smelt and shrimp, rice pudding, pies and cobblers, and any sandwich you want plus bacon.

Quaint Family Resturant. Some of the best Chicken-n-dumplings I have ever tasted, just like grandma use to make. Offered as a special on Wednesdays, but you need to go early or they might run out. Great for breakfast, good home cooking w/o the mess. They also offer

carry-out witch is nice.
