In 15K transaction I had on eBay for a diamond from ACE DIMOND JEWERS in Michigan that turned out not to be what was described and seller was very deceitful after he refused to refund the item and shipping cost, I left him a negative feedback; eBay immediately removed the negative feedback for him and in turn enabling him to continue his deceitful practice. I was careful to spot and discover seller’s deceitfulness but many more may not be so lucky. When I called eBay they cited that my history of occasional leaving feedback prompted them to do so. Of course I leave negative feedback to deceitful sellers. I don’t find money on trees.
DO NOT BUY OR SELL AT ACE DIAMOND JEWELRY!!. I'd give NO star if that was an option. This place is loaded with CHEATS and LIARS. ACE's newspaper ADS are a joke...you never get what their AD says you'll get. Oh and don't be fooled by their "AAA Diamonds and Gold" pawnshop down the street either. I tried to sell some of my gold and silver coins to Ace. I couldn't believe "Casey" the salesperson could stand and look at me with a straight face. As I was very dissatisfied with their ridiculously low offer, I packed it up and left post-haste! Best advice in 2012 to potential shoppers...Don't be a fool. Don't go to ACE Diamond Jewelers. Happy New Year. You've just saved money by reading this review.
CROOKS!.
When I came into Ace, after seeing a large ad in the newspaper, I was expecting to sell my jewelry, not have it stolen from me. I am saving up to purchase an engagement ring and was downright pissed when they offered me a laughable price after the two other stores I have been to previously.
If looking to sell gold, I would not waste your time going to Ace.
OUTRIGHT THIEVES!!!!!!!!.
I looked up gold buyers in Dearborn online and saw ace buying gold jewelry. They say they pay TOP dollar...this was a lie. I went to 3 different places on my way to Ace and they were ONE HUNDRED AND ELEVEN dollars less than the LOWEST quote.
on their website they "treat everyone like family"...would YOU screw your OWN family??? ACE WILL!!!! Must be how they pay for the bentleys in the parking lot!!!
I will tell every single person i meet NOT to go there!!
it was a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.
THE WORST PLACE TO SELL GOND AND DIAMONDS EVER!!!!!. I went in on a friday to sell my diamond ring and receved what I though was a good price but did not sell that day.I went back in on monday and the lady that helped me was not there. Some rude fat chick with brown hair looked at the ring and gave me a price that was $160.00 less than the lady on monday. She told me that gold went down over the weekend and that was the best price I was going to get. I then started looking for other jewelry stores and found one that gave me $400.00 more than the first ladies price on monday. I would never go to this place to sell my jewelry or even look for new jewelry . this place is a RIP OFF I SUGGEST YOU LOOK FOR ANOTHER PLACE TO SELL YOUR JEWELRY.
OK, but avoid KAREN. Not a bad jewelry store. But, if you want to go here, I would strongly suggest that you avoid KAREN at all costs. She's rude and clearly doesn't care about customers. The rest of the sales staff is fairly nice. If there are other reputable jewelry stores in your area, you may want to start there first.
Great place, low prices, friendly people.
Over the last 3 years I have purchased about 12-15 items from ace. I am a GIA certified gemologist and make a living as a colored stone importer. I important over 1 million carats of loose stones annualy and am very active in the gem and jewelry business from a wholesale end. Ace offers the public true wholesale pricing on their show room floor. They do have a large selection of quality and sizes in regards to diamonds so it is possible to walk in and see a poor quality diamond as some of the other reviewers have written, but consumers must understand not everybody has $8,000 to spend on a 1 carat flawless D color diamond. To meet the needs of the public a jewelry store should carry a range of qualities and sizes to meet the buyers budget.
I can honestly say, they have the lowest prices in Michigan. They are also very honest people. Many comparable jewelery stores are selling glass filled diamonds, and most people including many gemologists can not tell the difference even with a loupe. Ace does NOT sell clarity enhanced diamonds and that speaks clearly on their commitment to providing the buyer with the exact stone they are promised.
The last time I visited Ace i was even introduced to the owner (Carl) who was very pleasant and easy going. I have never been treated snobby, and the first 2 times I went in their showroom I was in a hooded sweater and blue jeans (they also did not know I was a GIA certified gemologist). I was greated with a smile and offered a refreshment while I was browsing the show room.
The sales team is there to sell items. As with all jewelry stores they want you to make a purchase from them and not from one of their competitors, so naturaly they are going to tell you how wonderfull an item is, but they have never been too pushy with me.
If you walk in a jewelry store, and you tell them you are looking for an engagement ring and you have a budget of $1,200. You are not going to leave with the nicest ring in the store. It is not a salespersons job to tell you that you can not buy a quality piece for that much, especially if you are in the store with your partner. It is the salespersons job to find a ring that meets your budget that you both find visually appealing. The other people writing reviews stated they bought items and compared them with items from other jewelry stores. You should always compare prices and qualities. But what these unexperianced buyers problably did not know is that they were comparing their natural diamonds from ACE to glass filled diamonds at a store like jareds or zales.
The sales people I found to be extremely helpfull were Carla, and Jason. It is my understanding that Jason no longer works there which is a shame because he was very knowledgable. Carla too is extremely educated and experianced with diamonds and all forms of jewelry.
Most of the items I have purchased from them were resold at abou a 40% mark up in retail settings. As a wholesaler I have access to the diamond index and direct sightholders and their prices are comparable.
Another person wrote that they sell used jewelry. As a gemologist I can tell you there is no such thing as a used diamond. I have never seen anything used in their show room but it is possible they are mounting diamonds in new settings that came from older rings. That is an industry standard and should not be held against any company. It keeps their costs lower and allows them to offer a bigger variety of diamonds and jewelry. All jewelry stores use the same above methods.
I hope you found the above information usefull.

AMAZING!. Overall an incredible experience everytime at ACE Diamond Jewelers!
Happy Gold Seller. I came in to sell my gold. I did not know what to expect and they made me feel at ease. They took the time to go through all my pieces and explain what they were worth. I was not sure of some of my pieces and they were very helpful with the entire process. I shopped around and they gave me the highest price in town! Thanks ace I will tell my friends!!
Sweet 16.
Was looking for a special bday gift for my sixteen year old daughter.
Was referred to ACE by a coworker.
The salesperson helped me pick out a special diamond ring. Everyone was very friendly there and
was even introduced to the owner.
I would return when in the need for more jewelry, and would recommend to anyone.
My daughter loved the ring.
