My husband and sister purchased gift certificates for me for my 60th Birthday totaling $225.00. You see they thought it would help to lift my spirits. After caring for my daughter for 6 years she passed away at the age of 25 yrs old from an incurable brain disease on December 30, 2006. Following that on January 28 my Mother passed also. When I finally felt like I would like to get out and have something done I stopped on my way to the grocery store to make an appointment and found the place totally stripped of everything. It would have been nice if they would have at least called let their certificate owners and give them a last chance to let them know they were closing. Needless to say it disappointed me for my first experience with a SPA. Has any one found a solution to retrieve our losses?

Just wanted to post and let everyone know that I did an interview with WDIV's Ruth to the Rescue and it aired on tonights (9/14) 6pm news. Kathleen Vaughn refused to be interviewed but sent a written letter to WDIV. She claims to have had to file for "personal bankrupcy", and went on with what I'm sure is more lies. WDIV contacted LaDolce Vita Spa in Downtown Rochester and told the owner of all our misfortune. She agreed to honor all Sandalwood Bay Gift Certificates at FULL value until the end of November 2007.
