Brunch. They have a very large brunch selection that will impress almost anyone. While it was a bit pricey, it is worth it for the occasional visit. My wife loves breakfast food, however I am not a huge fan of it. They still had several things that i really enjoyed that were more of a lunch course.

Terrific Brunch, great for large groups, so-so dinner. The brunch buffet at this particular Sweet Lorraine's is outstanding. The variety, quantity and quality of food available makes this $20 brunch by far the best I've found anywhere in metro Detroit. They have everything from made-to-order omelettes and waffles to shrimp, fresh carved roast beef, fruits and desserts. We've had brunch here on many occasions with large groups, and were always very pleased.

However, I was unimpressed when we had a dinner meal at this restaurant. The service wasn't very good, and while the food was okay (nothing special), the carrot cake they made for my friend's 40th birthday party seemed like it was a bit stale. I wondered if it was leftover from the Sunday brunch a few days earlier.

So, I recommend this Sweet Lorraines highly for brunch, but I can't strongly recommend it for other meals.

BTW, the brunch at this Sweet Lorraines is different than the brunch at the Southfield Sweet Lorrianes (which is just a limited menu to order from - the food was good, but the Livonia buffet is much preferred!)

Disappointing. Absolute worst service we've had in years (an all time low considering I dine on the road for work every week). Server was not professional or friendly. Unprofessional is ok when replaced by friendly or funny. We had to ask for water. Asked for a suggestion on the wine list he had no idea "I think people sometimes pick this one." He uncorked it, thumped it down on the table, and walked away. No tasting was offered, and I had to ask him for the cork. Picking up the bill (after a half hour of waiting), my fiance double checked that she had signed properly. He said, "Have a little too much wine??" If he had personality, or had attempted to build rapport, this would have been acceptable. I am in the service business and if I had this guy working for me, I would find myself out of business.
