Dearborn >The Peacock Tandoori Restaurant
Worst food and 100 % not recommended. Im from Hyderabad,India and I have tasted delicious Moghlai food in number of places in India as well as in US.The one at Peacock Tandoori Restaurant being the worst and terrible.I ordered Chilly Chicken and this is the 1st place on earth where Chilly chicken means chicken + tomato paste + chilly powder. It was horrible. And my favorite Chicken Biryani also was full of Tomato paste.Don't even ask about the service which is so terrible. No wonder I was the only one in the restaurant.I'm happy even though Im new to Detroit,I know where ''NOT TO GO''.

Worst Indian Food in Michigan. I live in Dearborn and it really drives me crazy that I have to drive so far to get good Indian food. This is the only Indian Restaurant in Dearborn and it is the worst Indian food I ever ate. I've tried it about three times over the last 5 years, just hoping it would get better, or it was that particular dish I ordered, but same old thing different dish, every time. They put tomato paste in everything. Seems like there are Italian women in the kitchen trying to cook Indian food.
Higher priced, but consistently excellent, Indian dining..
Despite periodic redecorations, the Peacock's trademark is still Mona Lisa with a bindi spot in the middle of her forehead. Hindu deities adorn the walls. Service is friendly.
Quality is top-notch and evident in the fiery green sauce (green chiles, cilantro) that comes with pakoras and samosas. Masalas and biryanis reveal layers of flavor. Vegetarians are well served, with many vegetarian offerings as well as seafood. Desserts include homemade mango, ginger or almond ice cream. Definitely order the stuffed breads: garlic naan or onion kulcha. Also recommended are lentil dish dal makhni, boti kabob masala with ginger and garlic, lamb masala with cilantro, and lamb palak with spinach.
