In Short – This pleasant, old-fashioned hotel attracts travelers seeking reasonable prices and more atmosphere than can be found at your typical chain venue. The pretty building is attached by skywalk to the New Center One Shops. The 223 guest rooms and suites are located on the second through fifth floors. They come with all the basics, such as cable TV with HBO and CNN, coffee makers, data ports and voice mail.

Not recommended!!

by AuMM at Citysearch

I stayed at the hotel on a business trip and I will never stay there again. You see the name St. Regis so you expect a high level of service. The in-hotel restaurant service was slow and room service was non-existent - it never showed up despite several calls to the front desk and room service line. The duvet covers in my room were stained -- I don't want to know -- with something. My co-worker found a used prophylactic device in his trashcan when he checked into his room. The staff offered to remove the trashcan and replace it rather than moving him to a different room. He had to demand a new room forcefully before he was able to move. The hot water worked 50% of the time. The staff was nice enough to remind me that I shouldn't walk or take a cab at night which was decent of them.

GREAT RESTAURANT DINING SERVICE IS BACK-HOTEL ST.REGIS

by gaylemartin at Citysearch

To anyone ,who is going to dine out ,there is a place in Detroit I would highly recommend for them to try the "La Musique" restaurant ,in the St. Regis Hotel. My sisters and I stop by there this past weekend --We were greeted in a kindly manner and the Food we order was exquisted,(we order a Seafood platter ,then Desserts ,that the chef prepare just right for us)even his presentations were ELEGANT-complements to you CHEF Mike -The Manager of the restaurant Craig ,keep checking to make sure everything was just as we order, and it was. His service was so kind ,so pleasant , our waiter Mike, also was hospitalable. This restaurant caters to a mature crowd , as I found out that this was Fashion Week here in Detroit and The St. Regis Hotel hosted this event .To sum it up ,EXCELLENT,there even was a live band that was playing Smooth Jazz -Yes ,Welcome back St. Regis,.and to the staff of the restaurant- My sisters and I will return again and tell others-----KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK-----MRS.GPM

Not Even Opened

by detroitman at Citysearch

I needed to write a review here because the one from July 6, 2007, is obviously a phoney and needed to be corrected. There is no way in heck that anyone stayed in this hotel over the last months because it's been under complete renovation and isn't even opened. For someone to say they stayed there is a complete lie. Most likely it was someone in their management that wanted to try and fool the general public or travellers.

Who knows if it will be a nice hotel when it opens - BUT IT AIN'T EVEN OPEN FOR BUSINESS YET.

Nicest Hotel in Detroit

by dvermont at Citysearch

Recently, I was in Detroit on vacation with my family and we stayed at the Hotel St Regis. We were amazed at the amount renovation that had taken place. We had visited in the past and enjoyed the brunch that they offered, so we returned only to find an even more remarkable luxury hotel. We learned that they had just completed an extensive renovation of the common areas, rooms and their new restaurant "LaMusique". My wife absolutely loved her meal, she had the cajun lobster tail. Our bed was the most enjoyable pillow top that we had ever slept on. We would highly recommend this hotel to any of our friends and relatives who are going to be visiting Detroit. Good Job Hotel St Regis!!
