Decent bar food, horrible service. Great for a snack, but not a destination spot, by any means. I can't tell you the number of times I've sat at a table with an empty soda glass sitting on the edge of the table, just waiting for a refill, while the servers stand around in the wait station, twisting their hair with their fingers and giggling at the latest perceived dramas in their lives. And if the servers do make it over to your table, don't expect a lot more personality than you would get from the clown's head at a Jack in the Box drive-thru.…
Chelios should stick to hockey. This place has the WORST service ever! The food is not even good either. After many chances I've given up on this place. Take your business somewhere else.
so so food, attitude from staff.
We were very excited to eat at Cheli's during a Red wing playoff game. We came from Canada and decided to spend the whole weekend in Dearborn.
We were not impressed by the staff at Cheli's. It felt like we were annoying them by being there. Our waitress had zero personality and we nicnamed her the female Putty (from Seinfeld)
We ordered some 1/2 price appetizers. The Cheli's sampler was okay, very small and definitely wouldn't have been worth the money if it weren't half price.
The nachos were good.
After the game we ventured up to the patio. Service up there was MUCH better. The waittresses upstairs actually seemed like they wanted to be there.…
Very rude and insulting. My wife and I were attending a cousin's 30th birthday party. One of the places that she wanted to stop at was Chelis, to see what it was like. We followed the directions we were given and found thier parking lot. When my wife pulled up to the valet they started screaming at her like she was a dog. I couldn't understand what was wrong, but it really dosn't matter if she pulled in the wrong side (I only saw one entrance), they were full, or they just don't like Fords, it was not only unproffesional but down right insulting. Unfortunatly my wife pulled out of there and left before I could get out of the car, and by the time I got back there the valet was nowhere to be found. We had to park a few blocks away and pay the city of Dearborn thier parking tax, since every free spot in the city seems to have a parking meter now. The bar itself was ok, nothing special. A dozen places come to mind every bit as good, and many better, with the one exception being that thier employees are respectful and they actually want your buisness. The attitude I felt from the employees once I got inside was more like they expected you to be there reguardless of the service or the actual merits of the place, as if the name of the owner was all it should take to force you to spend your money... almost arrogant. I can not give a review about the actual inside service, as the valet's unprofessional behavior was enough for us to say happy birthday and excuse ourselves from the party, but if you feel that a buisness's employees represent the company and are a reflection of the managment then, unless you like to give your money to ungratful insulting and rude people find one of the many other bars in the area who appreciate your service.…
It's now a great place to eat also.
For the first few years, this Cheli's had below average food but great atmosphere and great night life.
In the last 2 years Cheli's has really bumped there food up a few notches. Especially since they added there brick oven pizza.
I recommend the the wings, pizza, and Nachos. The Pizza is similar to a California Pizza Kitchen. It's a personal pizza(they don't make small, mediums, or larges), and they'll make it Barbecue chicken style, B.L.T. style, Sante Fe, etc.
Cheli's has gone from a good night life place, to a place that I'll go to anytime on anyday.…
