WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! I went here to get my hair done and it turned out to be the longest worst day of my life. I left with splotchy hair in colors I never I asked for so I called back to get a refund and they suggested I come and have it fixed by a "more experienced student" so I agreed and wasted a good six hours there only to leave the second time with my hair looking worse than the first. When I was clearly unsatisfied the second time all I received was an attitude from both the students and their instructors. Not to mention all of the students have horrible manners, they all sit around gossiping and having extremely inappropriate conversations in front of their clients. The salon costs is worth it and I hope I never come across a "graduate" of this school

I've been a repeat client for 7 years.. just happened across this review board and this is the salon I go to and have been for years. When I saw that last review, all I could say is wow, really? I have always been really happy with my services. When my stylist has been on vacation or too busy and I needed in ASAP, I've gone to other girls and its been perfectly fine. I've never found them to be 'snotty' at all. It just makes me wonder if the client had an attitude? I know I treat them with respect and therefore they are always really great to me. Just a thougt...so take that last review with a grain of salt.

Very Impressed and Satisfied. I was in dire need of a haircut and highlights, but was unsure where to go. I reside permanently in NYC, but was in town for the month and could not wait until I returned to New York for services. I decided to take a chance on L'esprit Salon after seeing their commercial on tv. I was a little nervous prior to my appointment because I read some not-so-great reviews, but I ended up being pleasantly surprised, impressed and satisfied post-appointment. I have chosen to write this review to help ease the minds of prospective customers that may have their doubts. L'esprit salon is both fantastic and affordable. I highly recommend the salon and spa to all newbies who are considering services. I also highly recommend Lindsay for those looking for flawless cut and color. Lindsay was friendly, professional, considerate and meticulous. She is a much better stylist than all of the high-priced Manhattan stylists that I have gone to in the past. I will happily return as her client the next time I am in town because she is very talented and does great work.

Dont waste your money, beware... If I could give this salon zero stars I would, because I have been here a couple of times and each time, it was awful. Just awful. I followed a girl to this salon because her previous place closed, and not only did they mess up the appointment day (meaning I drove out there for nothing, she wasnt even there that day), but they insisted on giving me off to another girl who would treat me well. YEAH RIGHT. The lady talked, or should I say CRIED to me, about her baby she recently lost (what is this, psychiatric therapy? Are you insane?!) with her arms flailing around as she is supposed to be doing my highlights. To add insult to injury, I had to come BACK to get it fixed because the first foil she did on my part wasn't even with my scalp so when I pulled my hair back there was a gigantic splotch of roots. GREAT. So I went back and she still couldnt fix it. That woman was a disgrace to the place. But I returned because I kept thinking, this time MY girl will do the job the right way and I will be satisfied. So much for that - She ended up leaving the salon so I saw another girl to get my hair trimmed. OOPS! Big mistake. I wanted a trim and she gave me a full blown hair CUT - EXTREME layers everywhere that has now taken me an entire year to grow out. I am absolutely astonished to even imagine a good experience at this place - the girls are snotty enough as it is, but the service itself is awful as well. Trust me, I have been to salons all over this area and you can DEFINITELY do better for the money you pay. The gossiping that goes on there is more or less high school caliber. I have been doing my own hair ever since the last experience there, and lo and behold I get compliments galore on my hair which I NEVER did going to this place. I would think twice if I were anyone considering L'espirit.

An experience i won't forget!. L'esprit had a friendly enviroment. As soon as I took one step into the door i was greeted ever so kindly! Except when it came to getting my hair cut. I had long black hair and i wanted 4 inches cut off and it died a light brown on the bottom. I go to the chair to get what i want, but one of the instructors kept trying to talk me into something that i didn't want! She ended cutting off 8inches and giving me highlights...thats not at all what i wanted. Although the instructor made this mistake i am willing to give it a second chance. I am not getting my hair cutt though again. And as far as getting an extra 4 inches from what i wanted... she did give a great style for it!

Best salon for bridal parties.. I went to this salon for my wedding. They did an awesome job. All of my bridesmaids looked stunning. We went the day before for manicures and pedicures and I got a massage. It was so relaxing to spend the afternoon like that. The morning of the wedding we had our hair and makeup done. I loved that the updos weren't plastered to our heads. Everyone's makeup looked beautiful, not at all like what happens at the makeup counters. Some of my girls were a little worried because they don't wear a lot of makeup, but they looked so pretty and natural.

I get approached by people all the time asking me where I get my hair done. They are always updating my color and style, I always feel like I have the newest trend.

Great stylists and best pedicure in town!. L'Esprit Salon & Spa is a friendly and very nice place - not at all snooty! Guests are always treated with the utmost courtesy. I would recommend their services to anyone!!! You'll love, love, love the pedicures - relaxing chairs to sit in for your pedi's, soothing foot soak, great foot massage and long-lasting pedicures.
