Voting With My Feet and Dollars!. This place, owned by Kiernan's, seems to think it is above Michigan law. They blatantly allow cigarette smoking (lots and lots) even though Michigan this summer made smoking in bars and restaurants illegal. When I questioned the server (on my way out the door - we didn't stay for one drink!), she said they were exempt because they were a cigar bar. Riiiight. First, that designation is extremely difficult to get and second it only allows cigars to be smoked. When I was there, there wasn't one cigar in the place!

It seems as if Silky's / Kiernan's seem to think they can get away with this, and are catering to smoking people only (while violating the law). I hope the state gives them a nice fine, and that the people who DO want to go somewhere without smelling like an ashtray vote with their dollars and feet, and never go to this establishment again!

Excellent!!. I've been here quite a few times. Every single time I have gone, the waitstaff has been extremely friendly. No complaints about anything.

The best part about Silky's, other than everything, is their HANDSOME manager with the salt & pepper hair. He is so very charming and aged to perfection!

Silky's is a MUST!

Atrocious Service! Drunk Servers!. I have been here twice and both times my waitress has been drunk. One was so drunk she couldn't count money straight and then threw money on our table. I gave it one more chance after that and to my disgust the waitress on the floor that night was drunk too! What is wrong with this place???

Good drinks and live bands. We come to Silkys after eating at Kiernans (right next door). The bands they book are top notch and they poor a good drink for a fair price.
