Best Happy Hour in the City!!!. The best happy hour you'll find Downtown! Half off almost everything til 7. I always hit this place up before Tiger's games for the free parking and shuttle. I'm shocked it's not packed every night!
Hard Rock?? - More like 'hard as a rock'!!!. This place was the lamest Hard Rock I've been to and one of the worst restuarant experiences ever. It started out with the hostest and her 5-inch curling around fingernails on all 10 fingers- creepy! Then we each order a hamburger - you could have broken a tooth on the bun it was so dry and crusty. The side salad that came with it was served to me on a plate so hot the salad was wilting away before my eyes and the Diet Pepsi was brought to me with half melted ice as if it had been sitting for half an hour. Dessert? No way - I couldn't wait to pay and get out of there - but wait, the waiter (who must not have had much experience waiting tables to be serving up this trash) was trying to get us to by some Bon Jovi souveniers before we left - ahhh, no thanks!! -- This place needs some management!!
Worship rock legends while dining on familiar American favorites..
In Short
Walls covered with decades of Top-40 memorabilia, rock songs blaring in the background and an all-American menu typify this music-themed restaurant. The kitchen churns out group-friendly appetizers like nachos and Southern staples like barbecue ribs and chicken. Burgers are served with hefty sides of fries and the signature pulled-pork sandwich is topped with vinegar barbecue sauce. The gift shop sells branded items like T-shirts, shot glasses and hats.
Overpriced & Mediocre Food. Can you say "tourist trap" and "theme restaurant"? I went here to celebrate a birthday and everybody agreed that the food was overpriced and just not good at all. There are TV's in the place and some memorabilia of "signature guitars", basically copies of guitars that famous people played and other stuff. Just a lame restaurant in general, if you go to the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, at least you'll see real Rock n Roll memorabilia.
Puts the ROCK back in Detroit ROCK CITY!.
I had a great experience! Great music, food and service!
This is a great place to go before and after any function in Detroit!
I saved on parking by using the Compuware Parking Garage and got my ticket validated at Hard Rock!!
Also, I used the people mover to get right from the structure to Joe Louis and Cobo Center!
We came back after the game and enjoyed LIVE LOCAL MUSIC on EVERY thursday night!!!
It was GREAT!
I would recommend Hard Rock Cafe Detroit for families, and young professionals!
My server even let me know about private functions in the Cafe where my business can hold up to 600 people!! I thought that was amazing! We will be rockin' out at the Hard Rock again soon!!!!
Eh...it's ok. I think the Hard Rock is OK. I wouldn't call it the best restaurant ever. It's a good place to go for drinks or if you are visiting Detroit. The entrees are ok. However, I think the appetizers are a lot better. Their spring rolls are addicting. I also like their chicken strips and their appetizer platter.
