This place used to be nice, but it's gone down hill and fast! The owner is completely useless and rude. Very bad impression and representation on his part. Let's just say good thing he has a good staff, even on nights he's 'working'. The place is not clean (the bar, glassware, etc.) The bathrooms are bad. They do not stay with the times, as far as what is 'in demand'. All lin all, if you're going to go downtown for a night out, there are a ton of better places to spend your time. BELIEVE ME!
Rude Bartender who does NOT want your business.
Bartender could not be bothered to serve us or answer a question about a container behind the bar that looked like juice. As we paid and started to leave, he said "have a good night and don't bother to come back."
Visited Pulse for allegedly good drinks - we certainly did not expect such a horrible experience since we were happy to put up with their sub-standard martinis.
Dear Detroiter, we sincerely apologize for the bad experience you had last time you were in Pulse. As you can see from our reveiws and by our being in business for over 4 years in Detroit, one of the main things we pride ourselves on is great customer service. There is no exuse for what may have been said and we would like to extend you an invitation back to Pulse so you can expeience who we really are. Please call us at 313-420-0313 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org so we accomodate you. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
detroit is lucky to have this club.
i was recently in detroit for business. after bouncing from from one place to another, i found my home away from home at pulse. i knew there had to be a lounge or club that embraced style, asthetics and the idea of living well in detroit. it took some time to find, and pulse is it. unpretentious, jovial, tolerant and thoughtful are words that come to mind when i describe the staff. do you and your freinds a favor - become regular customers at this great place. when i return on regular business trips, i will eat coneys (love them) and go to pulse.
One of the coolest lounges in the Metro Detroit Area.
If you like a place that is relaxed, an atmosphere that's cool, beautiful people both working and partying then this is the place for you. I have been here on several occasions going back to parties during Super Bowl Week to the Tigers big run to the World Series and other random Tuesdays and weekend nights and the people are always nice and the drinks are great! Most of the time the huge HD screen is displaying cool pictures of the City of Detroit but if there is an important sporting event on TV you can bet it will be shown in crystal clear HD . I would highly recommend that you check out one of Downtown?s gems the next time you are in the city.
Great Style and Atmosphere.
I've been there several times and have a few favorite drinks that I've not found anywhere else. The bartenders are friendly (unlike some of the other trendy bars) and the bathrooms are clean. It was a little difficult to find but there is a parking garage across the street in the Compuware building for only $3.00. I reserved a table for my birthday party and we were treated like royalty. I would recommend this bar for a special occassion any day of the week.
I have been to the Pulse several times. They have the best drinks in downtown detroit. I love the atmosphere and the music is great. The only downside to this place is that it is hard to find parking, but that's to be expected when you are downtown.
great martini and eye candy crowd with move your body tunes.
first this has been a long time coming for a bar like this. The owners Tony and Owen are very hospitable. The people watching is hot the conversations inteligent and the drinks well watch out.
