No Food on a Saturday afternoon. It was Saturday evening about 5:30 pm we went to Chelis Chili Bar to eat dinner, The kitchen was closed which I could not believe, they were only serving hotdogs or chili. It was very disappointing the hotdogs were 2.25 each not very good. I dont think I will be back at this restaurant again.

Cold Food and Poor Service. Today was my first time visiting this restaurant and god willing - my last. Our server was not organized or remotely experienced to handle a large table. I was constantly dodging her tray, her boobs, her rudely passing drinks and food leaning across the table rather than moving to the other side of the table like a civilized server.

It took nearly an hour to get our food. Our server never came back during that time to offer us refills on our drinks or even give us an update on our food. Since Cheli's only serves fries, chili and sandwichs it really shouldn't have been that complicated. Everyone's food arrived cold. Yuck. My pulled pork sandwich had BBQ sauce on only part of the sandwich, a stale untoasted bun right out of the plastic bag, and the pork had huge gobs of fat.

A total waste of time and money - by the time we got our really disgusting food we had to eat and pay as quickly as possible because we had exceeded our lunch hour. It has been removed from the office list of lunch locations.

UNSAFE. The 2nd time I've ever been to this place (6/12/09 night of Stanley finals) I was assaulted by a Detroit g-squad police officer for no other reason than asking a question. As a bar brawl broke out, 2 of my friends and I were near the scene and attempted to leave when I was pulled back by my shirt and beaten over the head several times. The bar's staff did nothing and I was cuffed and escorted out along with my friends who had no involvement whatsoever. I returned for my debit card and discovered that the staff had lost it.

I am a WSU student and work at Henry Ford Hospital main campus. I have NO criminal record and committed no crime at the scene, nor was I charged, only beaten.

I will NEVER patronize this place again; there is obviously ZERO protection nor consideration for its customers.
