In Short – Andiamo is a part of a local restaurant group that includes some of the area's top establishments. Each Andiamo location is decorated differently, ranging from traditional candle-lit elegance to bright Tuscan charm. All locations feature a bar, private banquet rooms and live evening entertainment. The menu is highlighted by Northern Italian dishes like veal-stuffed ravioli draped with Andiamo's own zesty pasta sauce, and seafood selections ranging from plank-baked whitefish with Italian seasonings to crab legs.
Five Star Experience
by Fair Food Critic
I've been to this location several times for special occasions and events and service has always been wonderful and the food is outstanding. From the appetizers, to the main course. Excellent. Every Detroiter should experience this level of dining in the comfort of their own city.
- Pros: Everything, food, svc, and view...
- Cons: When its busy svc can suffer
What a disaster

Having been to 3 other Andiamo sites, we were prepared for a very enjoyable meal. Didn't happen. Had reservations via OpenTable for 5:30pm. There were only 3 parties seated when we got there and we were ushered to two seats wedged next to a serving counter, next to a jumble of seats and tables that had not been straightened up (Grrrr). Asked if we might be able to sit elsewhere. "They have reservations." (as if I didn't?) After three "I'll have to check up front" tries, we were seated in an OK spot. Waiter shows up with big stain on his jacket. Then he gets the drink order slightly messed up (up vs on the rocks), then forgets to tell us the specials. After being told they were out of the sausage app (at 5:30???), I asked for the manager, who made a great effort to do what he could, but since he wasn't the chef, he couldn't fix that, either. Will go back ONE MORE TIME only because I live in Detroit and want to cultivate decent dining, but would advise others who want a real nice meal, to drive the 6 miles over to the Dearborn site. Ugh. Very disappointed. And I haven't even typed the half of it. (Food was pretty good except for the untrimmed green beans.) By the way, the "reserved" seat we asked for was only occupied for about 5 minutes by the time we left.
- Pros: Great river views from some seats
- Cons: Service bad even by Detroit standards
GREAT FOOD AND SERVICE, GORGEOUS VIEW

This is a dining experience that every Metro Detroiter should enjoy. Andiamo Riverfront is a sleek, stylish restaurant with 5 -star service, delicious food Andiamo is known for, and a breathtaking view of the Detroit River. I have been there a few different times, casually before a Red Wings game, on Friday night date with my husband, and with a large group of friends. Each time the service was fabulous and friendly. It's evident servers take pride in thier job and are very professional - with out being stuffy! The food was classic Andiamo - big bowls of homemade pasta in palmina sauce, perfect filets with the buttery Zip sauce, delicious appetizers (portabella mushroom is my favorite!) and the chocolate Kit Kat dessert!!! The view of the Canadian skyline was breathtaking, if not extremely romantic. It has a real "downtown chic" feel mixed with the Andiamo touch that everyone should take part in. Valet is easy and readily available. A true jewel in city of Detroit. Great Job!!!
- Pros: Delicious food, Beautiful View of Detroit River, Great Decor
