its easy to miss the quality when you walk into this closet size store - its amazingly inviting and warmly colorful - and the folks there are also - what is easy to miss is the enourmous quality of the wines - there are amazing sleepers in every corner - the owner, if asked, will slowly provide an unending amount of insight into both food and wine available in the little cracks of this store - wines like kosta-browne, which i couldnt even find in napa, where its from ... getting equal billing with a great little $10 malbec from argentina ... again, with a little interest, you'll find an endless knowledge of food/wine pairing advice that is right-on .... have fun there, but dont get fooled by the 'awe-schucks' demeaner of the place, it is a gem

This is a little shop located in Downtown Birmingham that is just a touch larger than a walk in closet, but somehow manages to offer a decent range of wines. The help is very knowledgable and friendly, making the most novice drinker feel at ease, yet able to answer and help the most picky and knowledgable of buyers. My only critique is that they rotate wines often and I sometimes am not able to always return and pick up someting that I liked previous...but that just means that I get turned onto something new!
Pros: Some very interesting Labels, especially from France and Italy
