This was my second (and last visit) to the Outback Chain. Service was okay- not spectacular- rating a 10% tip. I ordered a Manhattan to drink- it was half sweet vermouth and half whiskey with no garnish- the bartender obviously did not know how to make a proper Manhattan. For a starter we ordered the Blooming Onion. Great presentation, but overly salted and greasy. The steaks were poor quality- all choice cuts - not prime or Black Angus. On this visit I ordered the prime rib 12 oz cut- it was very bland and somewhat on the tough and dry. I ordered it rare and it came medium rare-medium. On my previous visit I ordered the Ribeye- again, bland tasting, dry, and not seasoned well at all. The vegetables were cooked to perfection, still crispy and flavorful. The garlic mashed potatoes were over-salted, but otherwise good. My partner ordered the "Alice Chicken" and it was absolutely horrendous- obviously pre-cooked and kept in a warming tray. The meat was over-cooked to the point of being the consistency of shoe leather and the sauce was overly-sweet with honey and lukewarm. WAY over-priced for the quality of the food.
- Pros: Good Veggies
- Cons: Everything else mediocre to horrible- heavy smell of cigarette smoke in non-smoking area
