My husband and I have owned a dock at Island Cove Mariana since 1990. We looked at all the marina's up and down Lake St. Clair before we bought into Island Cove's Dockuminium community. Most marina's we looked at compared to Island Cove had docks that were to narrow or high, and seemed to commercial to us. We did look at another marina down the street from Island Cove. It also had 4 foot wide floating docks, but made of metal instead of wood. Island Cove had a better view of the lake from their docks and was not so big and impersonal. Island Cove is just over 150 slips. Island Cove is also very family and pet friendly, with a clean relaxed atmosphere. It includes amenities like a club house with sauna, showers, in ground heated swimming pool, coin operated washer and dryer, restrooms, banquet room, exercise room and wrap around balcony. There is a hoist on premises for launching and haul out, picnic tables and gas grills for all to use. I could go on and on, but seeing is believing. Come on over and check it out. There are still wells for sale or rent, just ask at the office.
Pros: Friendly, Good Location, Safe, Well maintained, Fair disability accessability.
Cons: Could use a little more attention to full clubhouse access for disabled.
