I love this place.
The pictures on the website do not do this shop justice!
I suffer from very thinning hair and have been shopping for and buying wigs for about a year. I wish I knew then what I've learned over the past year. I learned how wigs feel on your head, how long they last, how they are maintained, and what the worth if a particular wig is really to a person.
The one thing I do not know is what it is like to be completely bald and how that feels and what works. But it isn't very different.
It wouldn't hurt to read a lot of blogs on various web sites to start. I also suggest that if your insurance makes you purchase several wigs at once that you go home with one and run a tab until you figure out what you can wear. I found all my lace front wigs make me itch, which took a month at least to feel.
Don't let anyone tell you what colour you can wear either, as you know what you like.
Have fun with it, as you can have the hair you always wanted and change colour with out the hassle and damage of coloring your own hair. It can be a very positive and empowering thing.
I really like how homey and comfortable Dearborn Wigs is. They are very kind and tolerant and there is no rush.
The wigs are amazing and as nice as any place I've been and at a better cost than most.
Now if you want someone to hold you hand and decide for you and won't let you touch the wigs then go to some fancy shmansy place with a fancy website and by appointment only and pay a LOT for about the same wig.
