slow service and wrong order. service is usually slow at lunchtime ,food is usually pretty good but 1/2 hour wait for lunch when you are the 1st couple of patrons in the place will make you think twice about going back .last visit there they messed up order in the kitchen or on the way there and my group was done eating by the time i recieved order and still payed full price ,wont be back.

Great Food Great Staff. I had a great time at the oakwood. My friends and I went there to watch the Lions play and ended up staying for the late game. Good food, good beer and good prices. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good bar to watch the games at. I would recommend getting the pizza. Delicious.

Good food, Service not so good. The food here is outstanding. I've enjoyed everything I've ordered off the menu. Only issue is with the wait staff. They are cute little girls, however some have no clue how to wait tables.

Best Hamburger Ever:). I was sitting there loving the new interior, very rich and warm. The staff was gorgeous, helpful didn't seem at all indifferent as staff at restaurant bars often are. Things are great then my food comes. I thought i would play it safe and order a burger. Not only was it safe but with out a doubt as they aptly named it, it was the best damn burger i ever had!!! My girl friends had the Brick Oven pizza and that to was unbelievably good... Oh and the beer had to be some of the coldest beer i have ever had.. Needless to say we loved it and it is our new home fosho!

Wow.. what a good time. Every time i walk in i cant help but smile. this is quickly becoming my Cheers! The staff is super friendly and i will just say it the girls are beautiful. Where they get them? Oh ya and the food is great, i have had many of the items on the menu and this is not bar food! The Pizza is outstanding as well. The remodel is very warm and comfy. Loves seats replace the old nasty booths and the overall feel is hip and cool.

Better Yet, Food and Staff. I was in just after it re-opened and although you could tell there was still a lot to do, it was pretty nice. I went back this Feb. and it was even better. Lots of TVs, good sound and the waitresses were very... nice. Must of been toned down from the last review, saw no problem there. I ordered a medium pizza with mixed toppings for under $10 and it was really good (should have asked for light jalapenos though). I'll be back.

New management means a better expirence. I was in this place once about 5 months ago, and it was a really gross dump. Then recently I saw a sign out front saying it was under new management, and a construction crew was overhauling the exterior with very high end looking stone.

I decided to check it out, and it was really nice inside as well. Completely renovated, new lay out, new tables, new waitstaff!

I purposely ordered a draft beer, because when I was there before I was served a toxic Killians. (Flat, stale and sad). My Sam Winter Lager was great!

I will return to try some food.

My Reservations:

I did think my server was a little slow on asking if I wanted more beer, but in her defense it was really busy.

Also, the servers were dressed a little skanky. Tight short skirts, full cleavage. I feel that if this place is trying to project a new classy image, they should not have their staff dressed like strippers.

Overall, I would say this place is very improved.

Nasty Bar. I stopped in to meet a friend for a beer after work. We went there because it was a convenient location for both of us to head home after. As soon as I walked in the door I wanted to "run" out of the place. The place is filthy. I didn't leave as I made plans to meet someone and had no way to contact them to change the location. I'm a huge micro-brew beer fan and know that if the taps are not cleaned regularly and properly beer does not taste good. I ordered a Cherry Wheat. It was delivered with no head, flat, and smelt and tasted like vinegar, and cost $4.50! The Barmaid indicated that they only clean their lines maybe once a month. My Bad for ordering anything that was not in a bottle at a dump like Oakwood Bar and Grill. Live and learn.
