In Short – This 12-acre museum, the sister-complex to Greenfield Village next door, was Henry Ford's showcase for Yankee ingenuity. Endowed by Ford in 1929, the museum not only spotlights the automotive industry, but traces the country's journey from a rural society to an industrialized nation, with exhibits dedicated to advances in transportation, agriculture, communications and home arts. Kids marvel at the bicycle built for 10, the first Oscar Mayer "Wienermobile" (circa 1936), and a 600-ton steam engine.

Marvellous place to visit with children. Could do without some of the new attractions - seem to detract from the overall experience rather than add to it.

Great part of history! Might be a little to advanced for young kids, ages under 3.
