Let me be 100% honest. The service is slow and terrible because the manager hires on the basis of what girls he likes to look at and he gets away with it because he is the owners nephew.
NO ONE wears gloves or washes their hands and those rib kabobs you all love so much? Poked through with the stick using the same bare dirty hands that write the bills, answer the phones and take orders.
The sauce is Open Pitt so if you love it so much go the grocery and pick some up it isn't anything special.
Everything except the pizza's and subs are precooked and reheated using the grill or the fryers and some bbq sauce is splattered on top.
You'd be surprised what else I could remember about this place if I had more than a minute and a half to think about it and believe me you would never eat there again if you REALLY knew what went on and how COMPLETELY UNSANITARY it is in there!
Love Zukins. We love this place. Friday night specials are fantastic. Best Ribs in Detroit.
Best BBQ in Lincoln Park, NO one comes close. Ribs Ribs and more Ribs are the best fall off the bone with mega flavor, been eating them for over 20 years and keep going back for more. You also gotta try the rib kabobs and fish dinners on Fridays at a special low price.
PuPu Platter, Rib Kabobs and Ribs Da Bestest In Town. You gotta get the PU PU Platter which is jumbo shrimp,ribs, spring rolls,onion rings,and a roll. I agree the ribs are great and the rib kabobs are the best. Been eating here for 30 years. The Friday fish fry is one of the best downriver for a super cheap price. Three nice pieces of fish,coleslaw and fries can't be beat.
Zukins review. Have been eating the rib kabobs for years which are still ok. Everything else on menu seems to be frozen gas station type food. Counter help always cranky,like their doing patron a favor.not like it used to be
NOT AS GOOD. I USED TO WORK THERE IN THE 90'S AND THEY WERE AWESOME WENT THERE LAST WEEK DROVE FROM BELLEVILLE AND MAN IT ALL CHANGED RIB'S WERE NO WERE CLOSE AS THEY WERE WHAT A SHAME NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN WHAT A WASTE OF GAS AND $79.00 I BOUGHT FOR 4 COUPLE'S
Used to be better. The fries are always cold. They use Open-Pit and I think the meat quality has gone down. I used to swear by Zukin's, now I don't even bother. The pizza stinks! Could they at least use real cheese?!? I walked in to place an order, waited 15 minutes for it and it was cold. I had to walk three houses away...in the summer and it was cold!

and now still is one of the best. Ribs and chicken are the best in town, but you gotta try the scallops...men, they're good!. But the best of all are the KABOBS! Nobody can resist them. Sorry you can`t eat in there.
There`s a lot parking, safe place and fast service. If you want my advice, make your order once in there, so you can take your food when still hot...you will not wait over 10 minutes and it worth it!

Not what I thought. I mean no disrespect, but Zukin's did not live up to my expectations. Being fairly new to the area I Zukins was recommended to me by several friends for some good 'cue. Unfortunately, many in this area believe that barbecue is grilling something and putting sauce on it. I am a fan of traditional southern bbq (ala memphis, kansas city) and this was not it. The ribs and chicken that I had tasted as if they were pre cooked and slapped on the grill to warm and covered in open pit. I prefer a smokier bbq. My opinion might not be popular in this area but I wasn't impressed.
