Good Food!. I went to Senate to have dinner with a friend for the first time. The ambiance was superb. The food very fresh and good. The service is quite quick. The daily special meals are the best thing about this restaurant

All items fresh and homemade, best loose burger ever, hand cut fries, my highest recommendation!. My family has been going to The Senate since it's original location in Detroit in the 50's. We now go to the LIvonia location. The food is amazing! All fresh and homemade. The loose burger is the best I have ever tasted. All the fries are hand cut, a very rare thing in Detroit. The greek salad is huge, fresh and delightful. The daily specials are a real deal. Service is always fast and friendly. My highest recommendation!

More than just Coneys. Blue collar Detroit through and through. Great, inexpensive food served quickly. Try the chicken on a pita, it's my favorite! Popular with the Ford crowd at the nearby plant, as well as families and high school kids. Very clean and bright. There is a lunch rush, but the place is huge, and I've never waited in line for more than a minute. Waitstaff has very little turnover, they've all been there for years and know what they're doing! They open early and close late. Lastly, they have the best fountain drinks in town!

Consistently good.... Open 24 hours a day, good waitstaff who once they get to know you treat you like family. Even when they don't know you most of them are very friendly.

Very good value on the food and very good tasting good!
