Great Food, Great Price, Great Flexibility!

We have been coming to Hercs for a few years now because we love the food. It is high quality and tasty. What keeps us coming back is the food, of course, and the family-owned atmosphere. If we want a little change up in a dish, the owners are happy to accommodate us. They are there to please us---this is what restaurants used to be before chains came around. We make a stop here around once a week. We love so many of their specialties, such as the salmon florentine, and I just crave their rolls. Their French onion soup is super too! Every time we finish eating at Hercs, we are completely satisfied. A++++

• Pros: Fresh Seafood, Great steaks, Chicken Stir Fry to Die For
• Cons: A bit outdated decor, but, you don't eat the decor

Good Roast Beef but a Dive

Were were there in Oct 2009. Have been hearing about Hercs for a few years. Finally made the ride from the eastside. The roast beef was top notch. The service was medicore. We waited at the door for someone to greet us. The soup was luke warm.

It needs remodeled and cleaned up and also a good manager. The only reason I'd so back is for the roast beef. I'd raste the roast beef a 5 star and the service a three star and the building a 2 star.

Why Hercs Is Horrible.

I visited Hercs about 2 weekends ago or so.

1st off, i would like to say that Hercs should remodel everything. The "non smoking" section smells more like smoke than the smoking section itself. Everything is falling apart. Honestly, any McDonalds you eat at will be in better condition than this restaraunt..thats how unsanitary Hercs really is.

SECONDLY and WORST OF ALL...

The Staff. Half of the waitresses live in the MOTEL next door!! The cooks are all little grungy punks that wear their hats backwards and handle the food like i have never seen before. The front of the restaraunt is like and open kitchen, so you can see everything the cooks are doing. these teenagers were throwing water all over the place, using EXTREMELY vulgar language, and just plain fooling around.

I first walked in Hercs with my family and waited for about 5 to 10 minutes at the door. All of the sudden this little brunette headed girl that couldnt be older than 12 or 13 comes up like we were bothering/ interrupting her with something..(i mean it is your job, dont act rude.) at this point all i wanted was to be seated. well, finally we get to the table and she forgets the menus and tells us she'll be right back with them. she never came back.A little ridiculous since we were one of the only families there besides the same people who sit at the bar day after day.

i guess the worst part of everything was when my 7 year old son and i went to go get rolls and salad at the front where all of the staff was lazily hanging around. The same hostess that forgot our menus AND our table, and a grungy little dark haired cook were kissing and touching (fooling around) out in the open. Now would you want your child seeing that? i think not.VERY innapropriate for a "FAMILY" oriented restaraunt. It is just sad how my family couldnt even enjoy going out for a little dinner. The food is the ONLY reason my family goes to Hercs. I HIGHLY suggest if you are planning to visit Hercs, you ask for a TAKEOUT menu.
