Tips for Olive Garden

Traditional dishes and all -you-can-eat salad, soup and bread sticks are the draw at this upscale-casual Italian restaurant.. In Short
Established in 1982, this chain gained a following for its laid-back atmosphere and generous portions. Patrons settle into comfortable booths and tables in dining rooms with plants, artwork and décor reminiscient of the villas in the Tuscan countryside. Starters include scampi, sausage or pepperoni pizza, and several soup choices, as well as a signature seafood dip (crab, shrimp, cheese and marinara). Entrees include classics like lasagna, fettuccine Alfredo and chicken parmigiana. There are also "Garden Fare" options, which promise 30 percent fewer calories.

Poor customer service Poor food. I went there because I had a gift certificate. The bartender was too busy to serve me but not to busy to BS with the bar back while I waited to be sat. The bar was not busy. I waited about 5 min and gave up. I have been a bartender for years and she was not a good one. She also used inappropriate language. The waiter said he was high on Ginseng and seemed very nervous. Had to wait about 10 min for him to come over. He was ok at his job but not very polished. Maybe he was new. My wife?s food tasted like Chef Boy RD. I ordered a pasta dish with Scallops Muscles and Shrimp. The Shrimp was so small and tasted like it had just been dethawed. The Scallops were the size of a pencil eraser. The muscles were good but they are hard to mess up. Scratch this place off your list and go to Carabbas. Same prices with much better food and service.

racists and rude. the waitress was rude. it took forever to receive our food. what they did bring was cold. and i was with my neices and nephews, one who happens to be black. the waitress treated him awful. will never go there again. frankly the only decent olive garden i've been to is by great lake crossings.

Ignorant staff!!. I had some reservations about eating at this Olive Garden especially after reading other reviews. Unfortunately they were all right and I would not recommend the Livonia Olive Garden to anyone.

We went during the lunch hour when I wasn't very crowded.

The hostess seated myself and my fiancee at a table for seven people. Our waitress hardly checked on us nor were we read any specials. Basically she came over and said "ya ready?" She gave us the wrong soups and when our meals came, they were shoved not placed on the table. She also took the customer survey off the receipt which I thought was a pretty bold move. Of course that did not stop me from reporting her sorry butt to the corporate site. Probably could have had a better meal at a local diner.
