rickge1 hates the place but keeps going. Sounds like someone who works for the competition. The food has been raved about in the press and by the large, avid following from day one.

My wife's favorite. This is a very good middle class establishment. You don't need to wear a suit but please don't be rowdy. They can accommodate a family of 6 - 8.

The portions are large enough that my wife and I order one meal and split it. If we order 2 meals then we always take the left overs home. We have several favorite dishes and we ask for them to be cooked to order. If you want something extra, like some peanuts or some extra sauce, just ask. We have seldom been disappointed, but if we are, the problem is corrected (sometimes on a cold winter day the soup is not hot enough).

Yes, the ambiance is not 5 star. But it is not a black hole. While you wait for your dinner you can listen to popular Chinese music. At the end of the day the 'family' will set in the back of the dining room and have their own dinner. It is like being at home in China.

My wife loves the egg drop soup and spring rolls. When she dies I will put an order of soup and rolls in her coffin.

Best Chinese Lunch ever. This is the best quality Chinese I have ever had in the Detroit metro area and I consider myself very picky. If you like Chinese buffets and almond chicken then you won't relate. We have been coming here for years and now the are 2 more locations, one on Haggerty and one in Milford, same family different names. I agree they could lighten up on the oil a little but the quality of food allows me to look past it. Lunches are the best, hot and sour soup, spring roll and hunan chicken MMmmmm and the prices are very reasonable. If you're looking for ambience and white table cloth service this may not be your place, but if you want good Chinese food with high quality ingredients you will never miss.

Rushed indifferent service greasy food. These people drown everything in oil. I ask for lite oil and get a plate full of grease each time I went. If you can get past the rude service, grease, high prices and very very rushed service the food is better than average. No alcohol. The other location on Haggerty is not worth going to.

Eggplant Lovers "Lovers Eggplant". Excellent food. Eggplant lovers must try the "Lover's Eggplant". If you want it spicy, you came to the right place. A great carry-out spot also.

9. Great Food! This is the only Chinese restaurant that make my food as spicy as I like it. The servings were huge and food quaility great. The wait staff was prompt and polite. My boyfriend and I laughed until we cried reading the placemats!

Terrific food! Good Service!. Terrific food... no MSG which is important to me, because I have a bad reaction to it. The fried rice and almond chicken are my favorites.... I used to go here for lunch a lot when I worked in Livonia.... I would go there again anytime I am in the area. The resaturant is small, but nicely decorated, and the wait staff are very good.
