Ellen is leaving!. Nassau is a great place to eat, with a fun, American style atmosphere, quite a few T.V.'s, including 2 big screens, and inexpensive, very tasty food. The wait staff is excellent except for Ellen, who is a horrible person in general, let alone a good server. She'll sit on the computer game all day and neglect you as a customer. This is definitely the the person that the other reviewer was badmouthing, and for good reason. She only works the lunch shifts, and is being fired within 90 days of this posting. I am a former employee and contest that she drove business out of this place, but come in for dinner and talk with Bill Tom, or Kim. You will be taken care of and will not be disappointed.
Prepare to wait. I recently went to the Nassau Grill and Bar expecting a nice lunch. Boy was I in for a shock. Not only did I have to wait to be aknowledged but my server seemed to care less about even waiting on me. After I I finally did received my carry out (30 mins. later) and returned to my office it was cold. Not only that it was very poorly made. When I tried to call back and talk to a manager I was told that he would call me back. I tried to call back (2hrs. later) and was promplty hung up on by the same server that waited on me in the first place. If this is this resturant's idea of customer service I strongly suggest that people go elsewhere for their meals.
Fun Enviroment and original food. After my several dining experiences at Nassau, I have to say that this is the closest I have been to a wonderful evening. The dining is casual, the service is excellent. Their selection of beers and spirits is not phenominal, but no one will leave unhappy. The menu is very original. Choices include, Gumbo over rice in a bread bowl (my favorite). Many people told me to try the Big Tony steak, I finally did. I was astounded, it was marvelous. Other menu items include Buffalo Chicken Salad, HUGE burgers, sandwiches, Carribean Salad, apetizers, and don't forget to try their homemade baked potato soup. So if you want a fun enviroment and great food try Nassau. Price Range $5-$25.
