Gotta get a pedi.... Been getting nails done at Robin's for about 6 months. Quiet, relaxing atmosphere. Clean and tidy. Keeps current with products. Explains products if you have any questions. Love the foot treatment with warm towels.
One of the worst I've been to....
Normally I check reviews on Groupon locations before buying the Groupon, but this time I didn't! BIG mistake! Robin is the only person at this salon, so you're stuck with her for one thing, and two - she is so rude and inappropriate. She is VERY racist against the Vietnamese and voiced that all throughout the appointment before me while I waited (arrived 10 minutes early), and all during my appointment. My Groupon was a sugar hand scrub and a OPI gel manicure. The "scrub" was barely a drop amount of product applied to my hands, then she put my hands in a plastic bag with heating pads. I've had shellac before, and she put that down left and right saying OPI gel was the ONLY way to go. Well, after running out of the salon once my appointment was over, I realized she did an awful job, left a noticable amount of space between paint and my cuticle (didn't cover full nail).. and now two days later, one nail is chipped half the paint off.
I will stick with my shellac (lasted the full two weeks with no problems!!!) and stay FAR away from Robin!
Won't honor Groupon. Even though my Groupon doesn't expire for 8 days, she claims that she can no longer honor it because her first available appointment isn't until after the Groupon expires. "No other options.. sorry." What a crappy way to run a business! I will never attempt to go here again and will spread the word. DO NOT GO HERE!

I would not recommend Robin’s Tips & Toes at all! I bought a Groupon for 3 gel manicures and wish I didn’t…I didn’t want to go back after my first trip, but I had already paid & didn’t want to be out the money so I did.
I’ll start with the good, because there isn’t much -- she has a lot of OPI Axxium colors to choose from.
Now the bad – My major complaint…she isn’t honoring the terms that the Groupon stated. The Groupon says “Must activate 3 gel-manicure option by 3/16/12, package expires 3 months from activation date.” So that means you have 3 months from the day that you activate it to use it. Even if you activate it on 3/16/12 you still have 3 months, from that day, to use it (so until 6/16/12). She told me this was not the case, you have to use all 3 up by the 16th and if I had a problem with it to take it up with Groupon. I was basically forced to use my manicures quicker than I could have liked in order to use them up in time since she would not honor what the Groupon said! She also spent almost the whole appointment complaining about us Groupon customers. She complained how she was upset that a majority of people who had purchased the Groupon waited until the last couple months to use it before it expired. She told me that she was slow in October and November so that’s when she wanted everyone to come in, not after the first of the year. Well, the Groupon is good until the middle of March so she should have thought about that before she picked the length of the coupon and expiration date.
Another complaint is she is never on time, ever! I am OK with having to wait a couple minutes but not 25! She informs you that if you are even a minute late you may have to forfeit your appointment and Groupon use for that time. I don’t understand where it’s far for her to run late, every time, and if you are 1 minute late you lose your appointment?! I showed up an extra 10 minutes early for each appointment just to be safe. So if you do go plan at least 2 hours! Next, in the Groupon that I purchased it was for the 3 gel manicures and a paraffin treatment…what a joke! She places 2 small spoonfuls of the wax into a plastic bag and then has you stick your hand in the bag and leave it in there. The wax forms to the ridges and folds in the bag, not your hand…so you basically get no paraffin treatment.
I like to keep my nails on the shorter side…at my first appointment she told me how terrible my nails were and went on and on about how the Axxium would not work, it wouldn’t stick to a shorter nail bed. She told me that the color I had picked (a darker color) would peel right off. I finally had enough and had to ask her if this was even worth it, her response “I don’t know but you already paid for it” – great job of making the customer feel good. It ended up sticking and stayed on but she was so rude about it.
This is supposed to be a treat for your self and I didn’t want to go anytime and didn’t enjoy it.
Unfriendly and RUDE. My appointment was for 2:00 but I was told to show up at 1:45 to pick a polish. I knew I was getting a french manicure but was planning on showing up at 1:45 anyway. Unfortunately, a train came through town as I was on my way. I waited for at least 5 minutes for the train to pass so I got there at 1:55 instead. I figured it didn't matter cause I didn't have to chose a polish. The first thing the nail tech said was "You're late!!" She then proceeded to ask me why I waited 6 months to use my groupon. I figured it didn't really matter since it wasn't expired. The groupon included a paraffin wax, which I was apparently too late for and never received. Then I was told over and over about how she is the first to have the new OPI gel polish because it JUST came out... I received the OPI gel polish in Arizona in early December, so that was a lie. My nail job was okay but she obviously rushed because I was "late". What disappointed me even more was that she basically yelled at an older lady who came in after me for coming too early!! She was only 15 minutes earlier than the 15 minute lead time the tech apparently wants. Give me a break! Getting your nails done is supposed to be relaxing. I don't even know how she stays in business.
Rude, Rude, Rude. Purchased a Living Social deal to get the gel manicure, and actually loved it, that's why I gave one star instead of zero. At that time Robin told me that she was going to have a Groupon coming out soon and told me that she didn't mind if I bought it even though I was not a new customer. When it came out, I bought the 3 manicure package! I even checked for language about the "new customer" thing and there's nothing there! When I called to make an appt, she refused to honor it, told me that she didn't say that, and pretty much hung up on me. Wouldn't recommend this place if she doubled my Groupon at this point! Don't waste your time.
love my hands and nails. do yourself a favor and get your nails done here they made me feel like a queen and my nails turned out great and the lotions and treatments were awsome they even had hot towels.
