This place really is horrible. I've ordered ribs from this place multiple times and they were pretty good and the proportion and sizes of sides were good. My problem with this place is the grotesque attitude of the wait staff. As the other negative reviews state: the service is horrible; they all have such a abhorent disgusting attitude, which appears to flow from the top down. Watching a game drinking and getting ready to order my waitress told me to go talk to the kitchen staff and ask them if they would cook a steak the way I'd like. I was incredulous, finished my beer and left. Now, even as good as the ribs are, I will not return to this place.

Horrible place to eat!!!!. Horrible service and food!!! Waitress was rude and the service was SLOW!!!! Water is NOT free....water is NOT free, could not beleive that they wanted me to PAY for a glass of water. I have NEVER been to a restaurant that charges "paying" customers (who ordered food and stayed in the restaurant to eat) for water. Ordered the salmon and my friend ordered the catfish. I would not feed that food to a dog! It was a horrible expierence. I will never go back.

Will not go back. Went to the Airport Wheat and Rye last night. Shocked by the terrible service and rude waitress. I was the designated driver, and was told that I had to pay 1.50 for bottled water. I do not drink pop or anything with caffeine. When I told the waitress I was the designated driver she said, " I don't own the place, I just work here" She did not come back to the table until she brought the food, which took a long time. Most places the designated driver gets free soda or water. So if you plan on being responsible, do not go to the Airport Wheat and Rye. This saddens me as I do like the food. But I will have to try their other locations. I will not go back to the airport Wheat and Rye. I will make sure that all of my friends know this too....

Great Rubens. This was a great place to eat with my brother and long time friend when visiting the area, great food, service, and the waitress was cute too. You get free chips and salsa. The ruben was $7.50 , so I ate chips, salsa, a ruben sandwich and bought a drink for all under $10. The ruben was so big I could only eat 1/2, it was at least 3lbs of meat (if not more), so how they make a profit I dont know, but I will be back, my son loves rubens and I think I found a new father/son hangout when back in the area. By the way who cares about having to buy water, drink something else.

Owner states that he is only intested in making money. Went here for lunch with a group of 5 after the airport. Wanted water and was told they only have bottled water and they charge for it. Called today and spoke to Harry the owner He is one the the rudest and cockiest people that I have ever spoken to. I soon as I mentioned about being changed for the water he went off and said the I should just take my business elsewhere and the he is just out to make money. I was very nice about it but he simply didn't care. WOW!!!! I will take my business elsewhere and tell everyone I can to do the same.

Unbelievable Poor Policy!!!!. Terrible Experience!!!!

Just flew back home from Alabama decided to stop in and buy the family dinner. My wife, my 2 daughters and I went into the restaurant and sat down at a table and placed a ToGo order which totaled $32.50.

After waiting 10-12 minutes, I caught the waitress and asked her could she bring me a glass of water (I wanted to take pain meds). She informed me that there would be a $1.50 charge for bottled water and is that okay for her to place it on the bill? I replied, "Absolutely Not, why would you charge me for a glass of water?" She said, "Company policy."

After she left I went up to the bar and asked the bartender for a glass of water, she too told me there would be a $1.50 charge. I showed her my bill that I was about to pay that $32.50 and I couldn't get a free glass of water?!!! She said, "It's not my policy it's the owners."

I said, "So if I placed my order for here you would have brought the water for free! Since, I got it to go I you're gonna charge me?"

and again

"Let me get this straight, now I can go into the restroom and use the bathroom and flush 1.6 Gallons of water down the drain for free... but if I want a glass of water it's $1.50???"

So I asked to speak to the owner. She said, "He's not here." I then asked her to cancel my order and made it known that the policy will prevent me or my family from returning.

Whatever happened to common courtesy? We ended up going across the street and ordered that EXACT SAME THING FOR $22 and to top it off I got a TALL GLASS of water with 2 LEMON WEDGES....FOR FREE!

I have been sure to tell everyone who will listen about our family experience at this place!

Very Dissappointed Ex-Customer!
