Best Chinese Downriver. Shong Hey has the best Chinese food! They give you huge portions for the price! (We could feed 2 adults and 5 children with just 2 dinners and a quart of their egg drop or wonton soup and we'd still have leftovers.) Flavor is good and it's not greasy. We moved out of state and can't seem to find any Chinese restaurants that compare.

The only Chinese food anywhere if you want to know what you're eating! After 10 years, its time for a great review!. These people give you great service! In addition to the Chinese food porportions are huge! It is the ONLY chinese place I will eat at due to things others put in their food by going the cheap way. You get more when you go in to eat, but carry out is terriffic also! They have served the same food (haven't changed brands or anything) for the 10 years + I have been dining there. My family of 6 loves it, as the food, porportions (feed you for 2 days most of the time), and service is wonderful. THE PRICE: SUPERB! It is low money for great food. The only restaurant in the area of this calliber!

Oh yes, it is at West and Grange Road, in the West Grange (Sav More) Pharmacy Parking Lot!

If you like Shrimp or Chicken - TRY THE SWEET AND SOUR COMBINATION PLATE! It's great for people who swore they didn't like Chinese food. This place will change their minds! If you order the Shrimp fried rice instead of regular, it's even better! That's how I order my S&S Shrimp. Hubby gets Almond Chicken and loves it. The kid's menu is great too! They are starting to want the big dinners like mom and dad now! Grandma and Grandpa love dining in here!

You don't have to make reservations but for big groups you might want to, but you don't have to. I've seen a few wedding rehearsal dinners there, and they allowed us in anyway over in a private corner and before it was over we were smiling at what they were doing and enjoying our dinner!

I LOVE this place!. Great food, always fresh. They use the best ingredients and portions are large. They are especially large when dining in. Tea is served with all meals. Great price also.
