As for the Butcher's not knowing a "flat iron steak", it may be because it is known by about 6 different names. For the "fresh" Mozzarella, try looking in the refrigerator section, which, even in other butcher shops is usually where it is kept. I will continue to frequent Soltz's, as it is a fantastic little shop to get quality items for any occasion.
Might as well change the name to Soltz's Broasted Chicken. .Good chicken and prepared foods, but the butcher shop is less than desirable. My first contact with them I asked if they had flat iron steaks. The butcher did not even know what a flat iron or a blade steak even was. The second time, I called and asked if they had "fresh" mozzarella, which they said they did. When I arrived they pointed to the aged mozzarella in the deli counter. Apparently they don't know what fresh mozzarella is either. Yesterday I went in for flank or skirt steak. They had neither, nor did they offer to get me one. This is a full service butcher shop? Sorry Soltz's, 3 strikes and you're out. I will go out of my way to Jumbo's or even Shopper's Valley. At least I know that I can get what I expect from a butcher shop.
