The Whitney is a classy restaurant meeting the tastes of any gourmet.
The atmosphere is excellent as is the food and the service.........what more can one say about Detroit's all around finest restauarant

EXTREMELY EXTREME.
PROBABLY THE CLASSIEST RESTAURANT IN THE DETROIT AREA, HAVE NEVER BEEN DISAPPOINTED THERE.
NEVER SEEN A RESTAURANT IN THIS COUNTRY THAT HAD A FIREPLACE IN THE RESTROOM.(MENS)

overpriced & overblown!. When the Whitney first opened, it was great. Over the years, it has declined. The food the last time we were there was NOT the best effort I have seen. Service was horrible! The waiters were blaming service on the kitchen. The Whitney now offers coupons in the entertainment books, a bad sign in my opinion. Very unsatisfying. Duet is a MUCH better restaurant.

Nice building. The food can be very good at times but I find the service inconsistent. What a great old building. Too bad it's not in a better neighborhood. Pretty expensive.

one of the best restaurant's in detroit. i wanted to wine and dine my boo on his birthday, and decided on the whitney. wine and dine we did- from the valet parking, through the four course meal, to our stroll through the rooms of the mansion- i came out of that date looking like a champ, but enough about me. the service was extraordinary, and i don't think it was just because we were there for a special occasion. dining at the whitney is the closest thing to a romantic dinner at home- if you live in a mansion, have hired help who live to please, and you can cook like some of the finest chefs in the city.

romantic. I have only been to the Whitney once, but the service was very good, the food was very good, and the ambience was unbelievable.
