hard to believe sean harrington is still pulling the same stuff he was doing in the 80s,hopefully his momma and daddy are in a better place by now.....................LOL(I know grandma Harrington is)

The place is filled with crackheads and ex-cons. The Harrington's are paternalistic and racist. If you are white, even if you are an ex-con, they will take you in for no rent and use you as slave labor. I have heard of them threatening to have people beaten by the thug squad they employ. A sad and dangerous place. Avoid at all cost.

Great Hotel BUT.... It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at referer.us/8/GoodHotelDeals They usually have some pretty good deals on there!

Clean, Safe & a lot of character.. Cool old hotel. Great location downtown. You can walk to everything in the city ( games, shows & restaurants) Clean, Safe & a lot of character.

Very good B for the buck.

Actually - despite the bad things being said, it is a nice hotel and the owners are unbelievable.. My family was going through a tragic situation and we needed a place to stay that was close to Detroit Receiving. Not only did the owners provide a decent room, they made sure we had everything that we could possibly need during this difficult time. There was never a time that any of us entered the lobby without receiving a hug and comforting words from both the employees and the owners. They even helped with laundry and made sure we were eating. when it did come time for us to leave, we were sent off with hugs and Tears from the owners. it may not be the best area right now, but it is improving thanks to people like the Harringtons. I will always remember the treatment we received and will always give them my business - Highly reccomended by me.

A Dangerous Dump for True!. I have to agree with the first review. The Park Ave Hotel is a dangerous dump and not just because of Sean Harrington or his brother who is in jail for beating a guest to death..

"A Real Dump". Not only is the former "Royal Palm" a dump,it's a very dangerous one.Ya might see Sean Harrington roaming the hallways with his baseball bat looking for a rowdy guest.(He loves to re-live the good old days)back when Black Folks were not allowed in the building.If you feel you have to visit "LOCK YOUR DOORS"..................LMBFBAO
