Detroit >Fox Office Ctr
late seating. I have always loved the fox Theatre but this Saturday's performance of the Marriage Counselor was an excellent play. I wish the theatre would inforce the no late seating policy. It is very disturbing to the patrons who arrived on time to miss part of the play do to LATE comers heads blocking the view as the show is going on. So can we start inforcing the no late seating policy.
This glorious 1920s theater has an opulent design and top-notch entertainment value..
The gold, glitz and glitter that burst from the Fox's mammoth grand lobby are so overwhelmingly ornate they leave some concert-goers speechless. The opulent neo-Byzantine architecture is reminiscent of an Arabian tent, with some 300,000 glass jewels embedded in figures decorating its interior. The six-story lobby sports a two-ton chandelier.
The building, which holds a 10-story-high neon marquee, underwent an $11 million restoration in the late '80s after being badly neglected for decades. In that time, before Mike Ilitch purchased it, the Fox featured porn films and concerts by acts like Paul Young, OMD and the Psychedelic Furs. Folks working on the renovation found autographed photos of Elvis Presley and vintage movie posters in the dust-filled file cabinets of the theater's promotion office.
Excellent. A great place to see a concert,Musical or any kind of entertainment show. It's a Beautiful Place that's Been renovated. To it's original state.
Awesome views from any seat!. I just LOVE the Fox. Pretty much anywhere you sit you get a fabulous view of the performer. My little sister and I went to see Enrique back in March we had seats up in the 2nd balcony section and still had an awesome time.
10. It's a beautiful theatre and you can see and hear well in just about any seat
