Best clothing store in DETROIT!. Showtime has the best guys and gurls clothing in DETROIT!

The owner Dan is so helpful! Tell Dan what you are looking for and he'll find it! I've never been to a store where the person working there (let alone the owner!) is so happy to help!

If you've never been to Showtime you need to get there right away!!

Response to ClutchMC. I was at Showtime on that infamous Monday - at high noon, to get my Theatre Bizarre tickets, just as Zombo said. After I purchased my ticket, I walked around the store and found my perfect TB costume (I'll reveille that on 10-23) and proceeded to sit up front and observe the day's events. I witnessed a steady number of ticket buyers (most of whom were not customers) going in and out of the store, constant phone calls: "yes, we have Theatre Bizarre tickets" and "no, I don't know how many are left" plus the random: "5708 Woodward" and "no, there's not a line". I sensed anxiety from the people walking in but then a sense for relief and joy when the ticket was placed in their hands. I stayed and watched this ritual go on for over an hour with Dan's quick witted, sometime dry yet always cordial responses entertaining me the entire time.

Showtime customers know that Dan is a unique person working in a unique store that caters to an alternative lifestyle crowd. It is a comfortable atmosphere where you'll sometimes find the occasional racy joke and/or a few smart-ass comments. ClutchMC is obviously not a Showtime customer and is likely going to his first Theatre Bizarre which is great but to rate a clothing store on CitySearch based on the time you went in to buy a ticket is unreasonable. Go to the store, check out the merch, rap with Dan and his crew and then come back to give an educated review.

Have fun at Theatre Bizarre - I know I will!

Some cool stuff wierd owner. I went in there to buy Theatre Bizarre Tickets,I got a weird vibe as soon as I walked in, there was two people staring at me not saying anything I asked if they could help me and 1 of them said the owner is in the back a few moments later he came out and there was only 1 guy in front of me also buying tickets he said we could only buy 2 each which is fine but the guy in front of me (jokingly)said "what if I shave my head and come back in an hour to get more" he got all serious and stated "we have you guys on video surveillance" I don't know but he kinda rubbed me the wrong was, anyways as far a the merchandise they had some pretty cool stuff in there,I guess Dan is just uptight cause he has had some bad experience with customers, or its the fact that his shop is in the middle of the ghetto.

Most Amazing Stuff. If you ever wondered where entertainment professionals find those cool, amazing and sometimes even bizarre clothes, then look no further. Showtime has the most extensive selection of items revolving around the music and entertainment industries, which many people shop for to improve their own personal style and/or expression.

From soul groups to metalheads, just about every Detroit musician has shopped here. If you haven't been here yet, it's well worth the trip, and is a must-see for visitors to Detroit.

Absolutely awesome!. After living in the Detroit area for the past 20 years, I made my first visit to Showtime. I was greeted by the owner Dan, who asked immediately what I was looking for. I explained I had a "rock & roll" wedding to attend and I wanted something to fit the occasion. He inquired what kind of clothes I had at home, and what I would consider my 'style'.

He told me to take off my shirt, raced to the racks...and returned with the perfect jacket and shirt I had in mind before I even drove to his shop! I was sold!! He then suggested four other great shirts...and I wound up buying three of those! Dan could not have been more accommodating, courteous and helpful.

For those who are intimidated by a proprieter who meets you at the door wanting to help you...would you rather go to a store and be ignored?!? This gentleman knows what he's doing, and I couldn't be happier with my purchases. I no doubt will be a repeat customer! I can't wait to go back when I have to time to actually browse the great inventory...THANK YOU DAN!!!

its ok i guess. the clothes were cool but the service wasn`t. the owner dan said that we could look around but he seemed to be in a hurry. he was tottally rushing me and friend. he made me feel uncomfortable. we felt like we were being watched the whole time. i couldn`t even enjoy the pretty clothes. id go back don`t get me wrong but not a lot trust me. if you feel like going you can go but its not reccomended. cute clothes though, i reccomend ou order online instead.

Showtime: A must-see!. Showtime Clothing in Detroit represents the apex of rock and roll culture and fashion. Dan, the owner, has made an artform out of dressing musicians and entertainers for nearly 20 years. His passion for dressing you to the nines is apparent, as he is not afraid to take a much time as required to help you find the perfect pair of leather boots to match your rocker denim, or the perfect bustier to really make your outfit really pop! His stock is an amalgamation of all things music-- including a beautiful collection of guitars. I highly recommend this place as one of the most unique and satisfying shopping experiences you will ever have. Detroit is lucky to have a treasure trove like Showtime!

Worse clothing store in Detroit. My wife and I went to Showtime Clothing last Saturday. I was looking for something to wear to play that night. Needless to say, this was a terrible experience. The owner, I think his name is Dan, was very rude to my wife and me. I told him I was looking for something to wear in a band and he was practically ripping my coat off my back. He told my wife not to touch the clothes, the girl working there would get it for us. How are you suppose to look if you can't even touch the merchandise? We just wanted to take out time and look by ourselves. The owner and the girl working there wouldn't even give us the time to look. Maybe other people have had a good experience, but we had a terrible experience. I would never go back there and I would not recommend that place to my worse enemy. I know a lot of people in the entertainment field and I will make sure I get the word out about this place.

This rock and roll hot spot offers thrift-store couture and alternative styles at designer prices.. In Short
Showtime offers new and used clothing for men and women. Leather jackets, fun T-shirts, jewelry and ball caps cram the store. The selection is much better than the nonprofit used clothing stores, but the prices are marked up dramatically. Smart shoppers know that though some items warrant the higher price tags, others can be acquired elsewhere for less.
