BERT'S MARKETPLACE HAS AN ABUNDANCE OF CLUBS ALL ROLLED UP INTO ONE ON THIS BLOCK.. THE FIRST BLDG FEATURES HIS LIVE JAZZ A CROWD OF 29 YEARS OLD AND UP.

THE NEXT BLDG CONNECTING TO THIS CLUB IS A BUFFET STYLE RESTAURANT WITH LOTS OF DELICIOUS SOUL FOOD AND EVERYTHING IS GOOD GOOD GOOD!

THE NEXT CLUB THAT CONNECTS TO THIS BLDG IS FOR A YOUNGER CROWD OR A CROWD THAT LIKES A D.J. AND LIKES TO DANCE. 25 YEARS OLD AND UP. YOU CAN ORDER FOOD AT ANY OF THE CLUBS YOU DECEIDE TO FANCY. OR YOU CAN WALK FROM CLUB TO CLUB WITHOUT EVEN HAVING TO STEP OUTSIDE. THIS YOUNGER STYLE CLUB IS CALLED "MOTOWN SOUND".

THEN LAST BUT NOT LEAST BERT HAS A WAREHOUSE THAT HAS A VARIETY OF THINGS GOING ON. FOR EXAMPLE A SUPERBOWL PARTY, THE HAIR AFFAIRS SHOW, RAY J BRANDIES BROTHER, DEBARGE, USHER ETC...AFTER PARTIES THAT WILL HOLD A LARGE CROWD OR AND IT'S FOR RENTAL FOR ANYTHING YOU DESIRE TO GIVE LIKE A BIG BIRTHDAY BASH. AND BERT WILL ALSO CATER THE FOOD FOR YOU.

BERT'S OTHER CLUB IS DOWNTOWN ACROSS THE STREET FROM CLUB NETWORK CALLED BERT'S ON BROADWAY. IT'S SORTA CHILLED BACK. I ENJOY THE CLUBS IN THE EASTERN MARKET MUCH BETTER. BUT ALL OF THE CLUBS ARE GREAT BECAUSE THEY ARE OWNED BY THIS GREAT MAN NAMED BERT.

A quiet spot for a weekday lunch, this joint jumps on weekends. Hungry shoppers keep cooks busy on market days, and jazz enthusiasts fill tables on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Soul food staples, along with barbequed ribs and fried-fish dinners are the specialties of the house, along with more typical diner fare. If you're hoping to unwind after a long night, take your order to the outdoor tables amid an eerily still Eastern Market.

Magic!. Not only is this the absolute best BBQ in the world, but magic is made in the night with the fantastic array of jazz performers and underground operators in the crowd. The only place to hear jazz at 3am and swoon over the beauty of the singers with Detroit's art world elite. Like a poem.
