Harold's Place is a great place to get your hair done. The staff at Harold's Place was nice and very professional. I think that it is family ran but everyone was so nice. I even went back with my two daughters on Good Friday. Good Friday was probably not a great idea but the three of us we spent 5 hours with hair, eyebrow arch and my nails - Not bad for the ton of people there. I do not like the parking! They do need a parking lot. The salon is very busy because of the barber but their was no loud music and above the normal ghetto behavior.

Affordable hair care at it's best!!. First of all I have NO idea what birdyb (12/7/09) or sweetpea313 (7/26/08) are talking about Harold's Place is the best salon ever!!

I used to be salon jumper; I never went to the same salon twice. I would go to a salon & something about it would turn me off & I'd never go back. Either the people in the salon (employees & customers), the atmosphere (music & cleanliness), the prices or I wasn't satisfied with my hair.

But I have NEVER had any of those problems @ Harold's Place. My 4 daughters & I are always happy with our hair.

I was relaxing my 11,13 & 17 year old's hair faithfully because I couldn't manage their thick, coarse & long hair. But thanks to Harold & his excellent staff they are chemical free & their hair has never been as healthy!

The prices are so reasonable I can afford to get all of our hair done at the same time. Ask about their HMP (Hair Maintenance Program), booking appointments & even paying online!

Worst customer service in Detroit. Loud music. Thugs hang out in the salon. They're quick to wash and dry your hair, but leave you waiting for hours for a stylist, even if you have an appointment. This place has unacceptable customer service. I don't recommend this place.

Professionals At Their Best. Harold's Place is one of the most professional salons in the city of Detroit. They are one of the few African American owned business that actually care about their clients. I love their website and I enjoy their monthly newsletters and coupons. If I ever had a problem, management was quick to accomodate me and my family. And this business takes time to survey their clients on everything from new services to evaluating the staff. I would reccomend this salon to anyone. And if there are any problems, tell them because they are quick to fix it !

Will not returning to this salon... Front desk attendant's need to be more professional and its stylist. Very unprofessional. I expected better because its website is so nice but I was wrong.
