great original italian food. i worked in this restaurant in the mid 70's. after i got married we'd go there for the best pizzas and pastas and veal piccata. papa vince was alive when i worked there. daugher, lydia, was close to my age. she married this soft spoken sweet man from italy. the food was the greatest. we left michigan in 1993. we will stop in for dinner next summer, when we come to michigan for a visit.

Mom and kids still cooking great food for 50 years. Since a small child my whole family has only eaten Vince's pizza along with many pasta items, along with a thing called pizza bread beef burger the best sandwich I've ever eaten. My favorite Italian restaurant of all time. What is Italian cooking, I say meals prepared with a whole lot of love, where can you get a mother and daughter team creating the most perfect dishes with homemade pastas and sauces. I say bring any in our nations Italian chefs who only supervise a kitchen and the try the magnificent foods at Vince's. They started in there house just behind the current building and expanded in the 50 years of this true homemade foods place. I'd like to get chef Aldo from that chain to throw-down with Maria on who makes the best pasta and sauces,, she's hands on everyday. Forget about any negative reviews these people haven't eaten there for 40 years like me. This family continues to commit to the freshest homemade foods by a mother and daughter team that can not be found in this world today for 50 years, so spend a couple hours and meet them, they don't hide in the kitchen. They welcome you to be apart of there family and yes it takes a little time to prepared the homemade food when not a chain restaurant.

We'll Be Back For Sure!!. So glad we picked this place for Valentine's Day 2009! I researched for 2 days to find a hidden gem and I will recommend Vince's again and again. I called the place to make a reservation and a man with an Italian accent answered the phone (Bonus!). He was really nice and asked where I was coming from so I could avoid the construction on surrounding freeways. It was snowy and this place was cozy and pretty homey. Nice bottle of Bolla wine, salads and fantastic bread! Hubby had the Cannelloni which was the best I have ever had, hands down and I had the Veal Parmesana and the veal was perfect. Super nice waitress offering great suggestions, she asked if we liked green vegetables, which we do, and she brought us this very garlicky, green veggie heaven on a plate. What a great night and we didn't spend a lot of money!!!

Great atmosphere, fun people, good food. Vince's came to us highly recommended by Ron who sat next to us at the ballpark. We took his advice and headed down after the game. The owner was very friendly - definitely try the limoncello, pizza, and spumoni! Fun place!

The absolute best Chicken Marsala anywhere!. Family friendly, excellent food! I will not eat Italian food from anywhere else- except my mother-in-law's kitchen! And the pizza with cheese, tomato and basil is fantastic!

Italian food as close to homemade as you can get when dining out in Detroit.. In Short
Paintings of Rome and Venice, and the owner's hometown of Frosinone, brighten the cheery dining room. With a menu of oh-so-familiar pastas, veals, and chicken dishes from the Italian-American repertoire, what sets Vince's apart is the painstaking preparation--the minestrone is a superior version of the often pedestrian soup. Even usually robust sauces have an intriguing delicacy; a taste of the fresh tomato sauce reveals not a hint of cloying tomato paste. The pizza is excellent.

skip it. The once great place has lost all of it class.

Pizza was loaded with grease. Patsa was lacking the old world touch,

Way over priced, willnot return again.

The Pizza! The Pasta! The Veal!. Superb attention to sophisticated and delicate flavor and balance, where the whole family (3 generations) is in the kitchen and out front - making sure nothing is left to chance. Pastas: homemade including fillings (RAVIOLI to die for!) -- Sauces: homemade -- Tiramisu: OH YES! Veal: you'll never eat elsewhere after their piccata or marsala... Pizza? You don't KNOW pizza till you've had Vince's. It's ALL too good for words! No wonder Mohammed Ali, Sinatra and Donald Sutherland sought it out! It's one of Detroit's FINEST "semi-secrets"...for over 40 years with the same family!

Bravo, Improtas and Perfilis!
