In Short – With a mix of neighborhood regulars and suburban commuters, the traditional Mexican decor makes fora festive and comfortable atmosphere at Xochimilco (pronounced so-she-MIL-co). Along with Mexican-American fare including tacos, chimichangas and burritos, there is also a "Favorites of Mexico" portion of the menu that features less familiar traditional Mexican dishes such as nopalitos (cactus cooked with eggs, onions, green peppers and spices).

Disapointed in a Used To Be!

So disapointed in what used to be a favorite! Xochilmico has jumped the shark!!! The food has gone greasy and overly salty. The staff are unprofessional and even condisending and discriminatory! There are so many other mexican restaurants in the area, makes staying away from here an easy thing!

Very Disappointed

My family and friends decided we wanted to eat some good Mexican food. Since Xochimilco has not been a disappointed in the past we decided to have a late evening meal there. All of our meals tasted like frozen food that was reheated and served. Sorry to say we will not go back there again nor will I recommend this establishment to any of my family or friends. I am truly amazed at how poor the quality of food tasted considering they use to be the best in town.

Along with the food, the drinks are a real bargain. Domestic and import beers are $3. The bar is fully stocked and has a wide array of potent potables for guests to choose from, including tequila.

Xochimilco's can be very busy. Allow extra time when you arrive for seating, since no reservations are accepted. Call an hour ahead of time and the hostess will let you know what to expect.
