Meat Town
Best meat in detroit. I go there for
the best cuts at the best prices. Been a customer for years. can't be the deals. christmas and easter would be nothing with
out meat town!!
Shopper Beware: Poor Customer Service.
Meat Town offers a range of meats and cold cuts as well as other wonderful selection of smoked meats. My husband and I found a great deal when it came to our selection and choice of meats. The price for what we bought was good! Although you do have to watch out for expiration dates on some of their products (there are boxes of the stuff) that are being sold as well as false advertisement. The Oscar Meyer Lunchables that we bought were dreadfully a month over their expiration date. Customer Service! Their Customer Service is awful! I believe that if you work in the Customer Service business you should do your up most best to make the customer feel welcomed so that your business can continue to make money. The girl at the register wasn't friendly. She was ignorant of the prices on the floor. Her attitude was offensively argumentative. She was a total boor with a condescending attitude in which she ignorantly used the phrase "Honey?" followed by a statement made to make Meat Town costumers feel belittled. She was a cold and uncaring individual. A cold water invertebrate harbors more warmth then then Meat Town's customer service "girl". People like that who lack apathy should stay home or get out of the business. There are a lot of other people with out jobs that could do a better job then that "ignorant child". Until Meat Town takes the initiative to revamp their customer service policy as well as enforce it, I will be letting others know of the poor treatment.
If you don't care about Customer Service, then by all means, Meat Town is an okay place to buy your meats.
Meat Town's worth the trip.
I've seen comericials for meat town for years yet never felt the need to make the trip over there. I thought "Meat town's just another meat shop. They're a dime a dozen. You've seen one you've seen them all". How wrong I was lol. I happened to be passing the store today and decided to stop in. Despite the freezing cold, lol,it was well worth the trip. They've got a wonderful selection of deli meats, hot dogs, bacon, sausage, deli meats,a few pre-packaged cheeses, etc. Three things impressed me.
(1) The woman who sliced my Pastrami was very cordial. Granted I didn't get a "hero's" from her but she was quite plesant.
(2)The steaks look wonderful! I ordered T-Bones&Sirloin and was very impressed with the cut and the portion size. George, the young man who waited on me,was also very cordial. (3)The meat seems to be of wonderful quality. As I said I've seen Meat Town advertised for years but never bothered to patronize them because I thought they were just another meat market along the lines of the *******te Market but I was wrong. The only drawback to my first(but not last)experience at Meat Town was the rather withdrawn, for lack of a better word, cashier. That young woman's customer service leaves much to be desired.
All and all Meat Town is now on my lists of Detroit buisnesses that I'll patronize frequently.
Thanks to George and the woman at the deli Meat Town's got itself a new regular customer!
They can suck a cows dingaling. I called to see if they carried TRI-TIP roast...which IF you are a freakin butcher, you'll KNOW what it is. The very first call, the chick answered the phone yea, i asked if i had reached meat town and she said yea, i asked if they carried any tri-tip.. she said huh? and after i repeated it, she hung up. I called back 2 times from the same number and the phone was answered and disconnected. I called from a blocked number and the chick answered again, hello, i said I am looking for tritip and she just hung up on me, she said she didnt hang up, so i asked her if she spoke english, and if she needed me to spell it, she said yea, i spelled it for her 3 times, and said it was a ROAST...she said TRIPE? I said NO, TRI-TIP... and she said 'we dont got that, bye"... they will never get my business... i hope the shit closes down and she loses her "job". Dumb Whore.
