Nice Ambience, Great Food. Last time I ate here, I had a great time. The food was divine and the Margarita was delicious! I will defintely be going here for my birthdays from now on
Excellent Service. I stopped in for dinner yesterday after the Lions vs. Steelers football game. Before I even ahd a chance to finish a piece of bread my waiter had my dinner on the table. The food was excellent with huge portions. I highly suggest if you're ever near Greektown in Detroit to stop it and enjoy and great meal.
Authentic, delicious food, FUN PLACE!. We used this place for a rehearsal dinner for about 50 people. Even though the place was packed with baseball and hockey fans, they gave us a nice private room and had plenty of waiters paying attention to us. All of the food was fabulous, and all of our friends and family loved trying the Greek dishes. The lamb, souvlaki, and gyros were big hits. My personal faves were the stuffed grape leaves and spinach pie and fried artichoke. Everyone loved the cake that was served too! All in all, a great time, and a great place! Thanks for being so accomodating.
good food. Greek town is an adventure the New Parthenon has the feel of the greek island. Food is pretty authentic service good. Recommend for adults.
This Greektown landmark is just as popular with tourists as it is with the late-night bar crowd..
In Short
Across the street from the Greektown Casino, the New Parthenon restaurant is set in a loft-style space with the upper level overlooking the lobby and second-floor dining area. Greek statues and a waterfall line one of the walls; an expansive painting covers another. The menu consists of traditional Greek fare--saganaki ("flaming cheese"), chicken kebobs, octopus and creme caramel. Try the Parthenon special trio, featuring spinach pie, baked eggplant and pastitso (baked macaroni).
