DON"T use this florist. Ordered flowers for mom for valentines day and they were never delivered! They wont answer phone or reply to email. They are terrible
I really like this florist, I have read many different reviews, some positive and some not so nice. I always have been happy with them and I think maybe some people just expect the imppossible or are trying to get something for nothing. The flowers and service have always satisfied me and I will continue to use them.
BEWARE. This is a very inept, dishonest company. I ordered flowers on 5/30/12 about noon to be delivered the same day. The delivery location was in a different time zone (an hour earlier than where I am.) The flowers were not delivered that day. When I called the morning of 5/31 to complain and ask for my money back, they told me "no" and that the flowers were already out for delivery. In fact, they were not delivered until 5:00 the next day. When the delivery and handling charge is almost $24.00, it is my feeling that they should deliver when they say they will. They customer service rep did email me a $30 credit toward a future purchase. I tried to use it yesterday to have more flowers sent, and when I applied the code, it was invalid and would not give me the discount. I again contacted customer service and was basically told that I was an idiot and just didn't know how to put in the coupon code. This is far from true, but needless to say, I did not order more flowers from them, and will be warning everyone else to do the same. I wish I had read reviews or stuck to one of the larger companies that knows what they're doing. Flower Delivery Express is TOTALLY incompetent!
The man at the shop was very helpful. I didn't know what to order for my friend's funeral and I was upset when I called there.
The flowers he suggested were perfect for her and I appreciated the time John spent with me on the phone.
Rose Petals. My mom called me Saturday, She needed me to pick up rose petals for a Bridal Shower she was having on Sunday. I stopped at this shop and they actually had them for sale! I was afraid I was going to have to buy roses in order to get the petals. It was great!
Roses. The roses I received were so nice, I called this shop and sent them for my daughter's birthday. I was so happy when she called to tell me how nice they were. Great shop in the CITY
Best Prices. I called about 10 Detroit flower shops for a delivery to downtown and they all said it was too late for today's delivery. Then I called here and they said they could get it there, but couldn't tell me what time. Well, it arrived at about 4:30pm. That's what I get for calling after 2pm. But it did get there!
SCAM! DO NOT USE!. I give this place one star because I have to. Scam artists! Ordered flowers off of their website for my mother's birthday, my mother's birthday came and went. All I could send her was the pitifull e-mails they kept sending me stating how my order was going to be delayed. 5 days later and after 3 phone calls into them, she finally got them. I could have walked to the grocery store where they got them from and delivered them myself for the quality. I ordered $50 worth of roses. She got 4 and the rest were daisys. So Ashamed and lesson learned! This company reminds you to keep your guard up.
Wesley Barry - Bad Company to do business with..
Be very cautious.
This on-line company goes by a few names: Flower Delivery Express, Wesley Barry Flowers, American Floral Delivery, and Flowers - Nationwide.
Ordered for Valentines Day: A floral arrangement consisting of One Dozen Long Stem Roses arranged in a glass vase by a local florist and delivered by same local florist.
Spoke to Sean Powell (supervisor cust service rep) prior to writing this review. Sean refused to refund the order amount. He provided the following quote when I asked to speak to his boss: "My boss is the owner who pays me to take your call, and he will not speak with you". After a lengthy discuss this company refused to do the right thing for their customers.
1. Flowers shipped via fed ex from Michigan (not a local florist as advertised on the web site.)
2. Flowers were not pre-arranged. Flowers were shipped separate from vase in a box.
3. Flowers were wilted, dead with multiple bulbs disconnected from stems. They were also frozen.
4. Flowers shipped were not long stem premium roses (just standard roses)
5. Vase shipped was oversized and too large for amount of flowers shipped.
February 10, 2012, my husband, placed an order for the FTD Season of Love Bouquet, 11-V4, with a delivery date of February 14, 2012.
The flowers were never delivered and my husband contacted customer service that same day. He was told, by a very rude supervisor, that the flowers would be delivered the next day and he would be given a $40 credit towards a future purchase.
February 15, 2012 came and still no flowers were delivered. I attempted to call customer service, and after having to call over 20 times because the phone number was busy, and waiting on hold for over 30 minutes, I was told that I had to leave a message for a supervisor, because a supervisor was the only one who could refund our money. I proceeded to one of at least 5 messages since then, and still no phone call back or our money. We have also sent numerous e-mails, with no response.
On February 16, 2012, I called customer service again. A representation by the name of Stacy assured me that her supervisor would be calling me back within an hour so I left my name and number again. I did not hear back from her supervisor so called again later in the day. This time I was placed on hold for over 45 minutes and was finally put on the phone with another “supervisor” by the name of Rhonda. Rhonda told me that she would credit me back $31, half of what my husband paid because we would have to pay the “restocking fee” and “delivery charge.” I asked her why we would pay anything if the flowers were never delivered. She very rudely told me that I was only getting $31 back and proceeded to hang up on me.
Their website clearly states that “In cases that we are unable to provide service, we provide an apology and a full refund.” And, “The Berry family has been in the retail florist business since 1946 and are proud members of the Better Business Bureau. We subscribe to the Better Business Bureau’s ethical codes of business conduct and make every reasonable effort to satisfy our valued customers.
With over a million customers sometimes we make mistakes and we want to correct those mistakes. In those rare instances when we drop the ball, please let us know. Your satisfaction is our top concern.”
