Best breakfast ever!. This place is a few blocks away from me, and I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing... I want to go there everyday! They have the yummiest chocolate chip pancakes, strawberry & ice cream waffles, and their Big German Pancake is huge but sooo delicious... I've been there 4 times (just moved into the neighborhood a month ago) and have not had a bad experience yet...

Founded in Oregon circa 1953, this simply-furnished spot owes its success to its creative menu and fresh ingredients. Batters are made on the premises; a special "sourdough starter" keeps treats from tasting overly sweet. Patrons choose from eggs, waffles, crepes and oven-baked omelets, as well as signature plates like blueberry pancakes (served with or without compote), giant cinnamon-glazed apple pancakes, thin and chewy "49-ers" and the air-filled, lemon-and-sugar-topped "Dutch Baby."

Outstanding - but be prepared to stand and wait for a table. One of the best breakfasts I've every had. Be sure to order the large apple pancake - consider sharing it with someone - it is GIANT
