Gross. Don't bother. Safety first.. This place used to be wonderful. Don't know what happened. The restaurant is not well kept. The floor in the kitchen looks like it was not well cleaned in 15 years. The couple cooks they have there are shady. The food was horrible as well. I got the breakfast special, and feared for my safety - especially after having had a visitor in my coffee. The potatos were cold, and I wondered what was 'hidden' in there. Overall, the experience was horrifying. The waitresses were nice, it's the cooks that have to go. The cooks were extremely disrespectful to the waitresses as well. 1. hire a cleaning service 2. get new cooks. Business may take off again.

Great food, good service. Food was great. Staff was terrific. If you like a small town diner atmosphere you can't beat it.

Pretty much a dump. Like the majority of reviewers, I found the food to be "average-at-best" and the staff cantankerous. I'm not sure if they think they're being entertaining, like an Ed Debevic's, but they really should fire all the staff and start over with people who consider themselves "service industry professionals." Oh, fire the chef too. Seriously, how hard is it to make breakfast? Skip this place and check out "The Wake Up" on Harper Avenue. Far better food and everything is organic.

Every omelet, sandwich and meatloaf platter surpasses expectations at this friendly family restaurant on Mack Avenue.. In Short
Eating here is a casual affair. The food is fresh, plentiful and made from scratch. The booths and tables are covered with gingham, and pictures of old-fashioned diners cover the walls. High chairs for the toddler set are welcome. Try the club sandwich, made with real turkey breast, or the breakfast special with its crispy grilled potatoes. Finish with a slice of homemade cake that's large enough to share.
