Food was OK, house wine was good. Wait staff was nice at first but lost patience and was rude at the end - must have been a long nite!!

Pros: Wall art, Wine

Cons: Rude Wait-staff, Bland food

This is not going to be the best Italian food that you have ever eaten, but if you can relax, and enjoy a crowd you will have plenty of food and fun. The restaurant serves a lot of food and it is somewhat cafeteria food in nature. I enjoy the people watching here, and the servers are pretty enjoyable. They usually seat you promptly and the serving sizes are generous. I felt that the food and drinks were pretty fairly priced and that the pace of the table service was perfect. You can enjoy your meal without feeling pressured by the wait staff.

Pros: Great energy and good fun

Cons: the food could be a little better

I come from a large Italian family, and we chose Buca to celebrate my mother's birthday. There was no problem accomidating such a large group although we phoned ahead for reservations. The food was ok but I felt it was a little too expensive. We all really loved the whole atmosphere thing going on there, so Italian and festive. I would probably go back for another large group party.

Pros: Atmosphere, festive

Cons: A little too pricey

The food is above average, in that it comes pretty close to the Italian food I enjoyed at my Mom's and Grandmother's houses. I love the pizza. It's close to the real thing served in Italy. Not recommended for couples. Go with a bigger group; the bigger the group, the less expensive it is.

the salad was tasteless, the pasta reminded me of a grade school lunch program and the veal marsala- the meat itself was not only tough and grissly, but the "marsala" sauce was reminiscent of grape jelly. in fact, it was so awful that i went back to another location and tried again- even worse. a rating of 0.1 wouild be more than charitable- could be the worst restaurant ever.

Large portions of mediocre food served up in a "TGI Friday's gone Italian" atmosphere. Good service, decent prices.

Giant plates of factory food with Italian names. More of a bad thing is not good. A hokey theme park with food.

Cons: The Food

Saying this is great Italian food is like saying McDonald's is high cuisine. You get a lot of OK food cooked by high school students for not a lot of money. Great place to go with big groups. But, if you think this is GOOD Italian food then you've never had good Italian food.

I may not be Italian; however, I truly enjoyed the food, and excellent service I have received from Buca. In fact, I recommended it to several friends and they called to thank me for the wonderful time they had as well. If you are up for great conversation and interesting atmosphere you should definately give it a try!

Pros: Festive Atmosphere

In my opinion this is the worst of the so called "Italian" restaurants. Giant servings of low quality food is not a good thing. Whats-a-matta with these people?!
