I am your typical Italian woman! We have some great features but body hair is not one of the great ones. Nothing glamourous about shaving and waxing all the time. For my birthday my husband bought me laser hair removal for my legs, bikini and underarms. I think it was more of a present to him than to me! He chose the Fountain of Youth because his boss and his boss's wife went there and were getting great results and spoke very highly of the place. As of right now I'm on my 4th treatment. The hair is much thinner, big patches are completely gone and overall I'm extremely happy with my results. I know I have more treatments to go but with the results I'm getting it keeps me motivated and it's exciting to see how much hair is gone each time. Both my sisters and brother have all signed up for treatment. We are all very happy with the Fountain of Youth and treated very nicely each time we come for treatment. I highly reccommend the Fountain of Youth for hair removal!

Cons: You have to plan pretty far in advance for evening treatments

Thank you! Thank you! to the ladies at Fountain of Youth. For most of my life I had dark thick hair on most of my body. Even after I shaved, you could still see the dark hair on my legs and bikini. I used to always wax my lip but you could still see a shadow. This kept me from wearing swimsuits. I finally started to save for hair removal and than did the research on what company to trust. I went to 3 different laser companies because I always do a rule of 3. I loved the Fountain of Youth the moment I walked in. I was well greeted and offered treats and beverages. Not too many people care about customer service anymore! The women are so nice there and extremely knowledgeable! They make you feel like they really do care. They were very honest with me during the consult. Anyways...I'm extremely happy with my results and reccommend everyone to visit the Fountain of Youth. If laser isn't your interest they also have a full spa! I still come for the facials with Nancy and Massages.

Pros: knowledgeable staff, beautiful spa, free parking! Great Results!!

I had gone to a well-known competitor for hair removal on my lip and chin. I heard an advertisement for the Fountain of Youth on the radio, so I called to get a price quote from them for the hair removal on my legs. I thought for sure that it would be more than what my current place quoted me, because it was located in Birmingham and it was "painless" hair removal. To my surprise, they offered to do it for less than my current hair removal place had quoted me, and now I know why. I was told that in comparison to where I was currently going, not only was their laser equipment "painless," it was also more effective and the treatments could be done more frequently, which would result in much quicker results. I started the treatments in July '06. I must admit that the treatments were less painful, but not completely "painless," compared to the previous laser treatments that I've had, but they are also much less effective. After about 13 treatments, I don't even have 50% of the hair gone on my legs. Then come to find out this week, I am now considered to be on "maintenance" treatments and will be required to pay $200.00 for any further treatments. Why would I continue to pay for treatments that haven't been effective, when I had already spent a little over $1900.00 for promised results that I never received? The owner I spoke with had a flagrant disregard for customer satisfaction. Word to the wise; don't be mislead like I was. If it sounds too good to be true, than it probably it is. I'm still going to the laser place that I started out with originally in Jun '05 for my lip and chin, and I'm extremely pleased with the results. I still receive the treatments up until this April, because they offer a two year guarantee on the area after the initial treatments, and I wasn't required to pay any extra.

Cons: Didn't produce the results that were promised and paid for.

I have had a lot of massages in the past, but this was by far the best. The therapist sat down with me before we started and asked about the areas where I felt I needed the most work. Because the therapist was also a nurse, I felt like she really understood my body and my muscles. She used techniques on me that made me feel so relaxed, and even though I know she was giving me a great deep-tissue massage, I didn't feel sore at all the next day. I am a runner and she targeted areas that I didn't realize were problematic (IT band, shoulders, etc). Running has never felt better! I am also a graduate student, and the therapist sat down with me AFTER my massage as well to talk about stretches that I could incorporate to relieve stress in my neck, that I could do throughout the day. My whole BODY has never felt better! The friendliness of the staff, and willingness to stay late (my massage even ran over!) made me feel very comfortable there. This was a great experience, and I will definitely be going back to fountain of youth for frequent massages in the future!

Fountain of Youth is WONDERFUL! I've been to several spas in the Detroit area and this one by far is the best. Not only are the treatments phenomenal, the staff and the service are wonderful!! I've treated myself to monthly spa days and I look forward to the next visit. I must admit, my skin wasn't terrible or anything before (I was completely satisfied with it - compared to my younger years!), but ever since I've been going here my skin has looked radiant! I never thought my skin could look much better then it did! I love the fact that I have to wear very little makeup these days because my skin glows right through it! I highly recommend this spa to anyone! You will be more then satisfied!

Pros: Very personable manager!! Service, staff, all of it!

Cons: None!

I'll get straight to the point, this place treated me like the king I am and catered to my every wish -- I'm a sucka for good atmosphere and a nice glass of wine and that was provided while I was waiting for my 'king for the day special -- let me explain... this includes a a deeeeeeeeeeep tissue massage, gentlemens facial + manicure. Absolutely no shame in my game because this experience, on a friday evening I might add left me feeling completely refreshed from the long work grind and ready to CONTROL the night!!!

I just turned 50 and for the first time I was feeling old. I watched those make-over shows and always wondered what I could do for myself withouth surgery to give me a little boost. I started to research skin rejuvenation and decided to try photofacials. Fountain of Youth was the first place I found that offered a painless laser for this treatments. I HATE PAIN! After one treatment on my face I saw results. My sun damage had faded along with the dark brown spots on my face. Everything just seemed to tighten up. I recently finished my package and I'm so happy with the results. I get compliments from my family and friends and it makes me feel so good. Thank you Fountain of Youth! I hope my review will encourage other women like me to splurge on themselves. We deserve it!!

Since high school I have had really bad acne. I tried everything from proactive to special make ups and I was constantly visiting the dermatologist. Fountain of Youths website came up while I was looking for laser hair removal. While I was reading I saw a section for acne, it was enough for me to give it a try and I can't explain how happy I am that I did. Finally! My makeup goes on smooth with no blotches.

Pros: the staff, they seem to really care about my needs and wants

Very professional staff. Made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in the door. I had great results and a fantastic experience. My wife and I have been enjoying the couple’s massages. The champagne toast is always a classy touch.

Pros: Professional. Comfortable. Classy. Relaxing. Great results.

Cons: My wife is addicted$$ :)
