I had gone to a well-known competitor for hair removal on my lip and chin. I heard an advertisement for the Fountain of Youth on the radio, so I called to get a price quote from them for the hair removal on my legs. I thought for sure that it would be more than what my current place quoted me, because it was located in Birmingham and it was "painless" hair removal. To my surprise, they offered to do it for less than my current hair removal place had quoted me, and now I know why. I was told that in comparison to where I was currently going, not only was their laser equipment "painless," it was also more effective and the treatments could be done more frequently, which would result in much quicker results. I started the treatments in July '06. I must admit that the treatments were less painful, but not completely "painless," compared to the previous laser treatments that I've had, but they are also much less effective. After about 13 treatments, I don't even have 50% of the hair gone on my legs. Then come to find out this week, I am now considered to be on "maintenance" treatments and will be required to pay $200.00 for any further treatments. Why would I continue to pay for treatments that haven't been effective, when I had already spent a little over $1900.00 for promised results that I never received? The owner I spoke with had a flagrant disregard for customer satisfaction. Word to the wise; don't be mislead like I was. If it sounds too good to be true, than it probably it is. I'm still going to the laser place that I started out with originally in Jun '05 for my lip and chin, and I'm extremely pleased with the results. I still receive the treatments up until this April, because they offer a two year guarantee on the area after the initial treatments, and I wasn't required to pay any extra.
Cons: Didn't produce the results that were promised and paid for.
