Well to the last comment about how bad it is and kids teaching kids I think it is a wonderful Ideal. I have cousin that goes there I just went to there recital and I thought it was beautiful. I am starting my own dance studio and I was like wow to see how gifted the children were and a well put together staff and for the director to join in like she did. I thought that was good. I would highly recommend people to go to Freedom Danz with no problem. the skills that they have they pass it on to the children and let the children express themselves freely in there dance its not about the attitude its about the results of the class that the children recieves. If a child comes out of the class with the proper dance movement or you can see it developing then that is the right school so what if it is a non-profit its about is the child learning and catching on. Freedom Danz keep up the good work. I came to check you guys out you guys were wonderful. Keep it up and thats with a smile.

My child started lessons here in 1999. She has honed her technique and teaching and is now an instructor. Freedoms' committment to community and kids is exemplified by such programs as Anti-drug Awareness, community service, lockins etc. Price is so reasonable (other reviewer must want classes to be free!) for what your child receives. Stellar competition record as well as concerts...Staff and director are very easy to get along with AND professional. The complainers are those who drop kids off at the curb, never come in and get monthly information, never talk to instructors, don't have their child practice what was learned in class, but want to run things. They offer no constructive imput but expect miracles. Their child is late or misses class for weeks. Freedom is not a daycare, but a place of instruction. If the school was about the money, the tuition would be higher than $35/month. People pay at least this much on lottery tickets, nails, hair-dos, liquor and cigarettes per day or week. This is an investment on your child's future if they are interested in the performing arts. The children should be ACTIVE participants; not troublemakers. If the instructors need to meet with you, GO TO THE MEETING. Listen to the constructive criticism from the instructors, they know what they are talking about. That is why you are paying your money to have them taught. If YOU know so much teach them yourself!! Your child will let you know if they don't want to do this. This is something that should not be forced. Don't be mad at Freedom that your child didn't learn....they evidently didn't want to be involved. Be mad at yourself for not listening. Parents should be active in what their child is involved in. I don't know if the previous reviewer has one of the "never practice the steps", disruptive, unruly and mouthy kids that keeps the entire class from learning, but maybe she/he got Freedom mixed up with a studio down the way.
Pros: excellent instruction by dedicated, experienced, professional and caring staff, good location, varied classes, professional staff
Cons: none

Freedom: Danz Xpressionz is a non-profit dance studio and it is a professionally run business. The cost of classes is $34.90 (some of the most reasonibly priced in the area). The staff is made up of college students and adults who have been trained at the studio and other area dance outlets. Students are trained based on the current curriculum based on the Michigan Standards and Benchmarks. Students that are members of The Company, The X Generation and the neXt Generation are proud to boast their gold, platinum and first place trophies. Members of the Board of Directors' volunteer on a quarterly basis at community events and members of the dance companies volunteer performances as part of mandatory community service. The director holds a Bachelors and two Master's Degrees (one in business and one in education). You definately get a lot of something for little to nothing when you come to the Freedom: Experience!

My daughter started dancing at Freedom about 4 yrs ago and she has come so far that she has potential of becoming a professional dancer now at the age of 10. I enjoy the children and staff is fun to be around. High energy! It is hard for me to leave sometimes because we socialize and have fun together. They offer different activities for the children to be involved in dances, bowling, skating, lock-ins, etc. When I first started the tuition was $50 per month per class but I was excited when the rates were lowered to $35 per month! I was able to enroll my son and myself into classes. I love it!!! I encourage parents that want to envolve there child in something constructive, to consider Freedom Danz Xpressionz!
Pros: Family Discounts, Coupons, Fun
Cons: Parking

FREEDOM WAS A BAD EXPERIENCE FOR ME THE KIDS ARE BEAUTIFUL AND TALENTED BUT THE STAFF WAS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE. WHAT I GOT FROM THE SCHOOL IS THAT IT WAS JUST ABOUT THE MONEY AND NOT THE ART AND EDUCATION IN DANCE AND MY CHILD DID NOT LEARN THAT FROM THERE. AVOID VERY HIGH PRICES AND ITS SUPPOSE TO BE NON PROFIT
Pros: RIGHT OFF LODGE FREEWAY KIDS
Cons: TEACHERS ARE KIDS AND NOT EDUCATED IN DANCE DIRECTOR IS NOT KIND
