Evergreen Supply is a good grocery store for the Chinese cook. They carry a good selection of fresh vegetables. They have a wide selection of curry pastes, sauces, fruits and vegetables. The staff is helpful. It is sometimes a little difficult to locate - it is just north of 8 mile on Lahser (east side of the street, just north of a gas station) but the building is bright yellow. I recommend this grocery store for those who love to cook Chinese food and want a good selection of fresh ingredients. If you are interested in cooking Thai, Vietnamese, Cambodian or Lao food, however, they do not carry many of the key fresh herbs you'll want (for example: no kaffir lime leaves, only frozen lemongrass. ) I'd recommend Kim Nhung Superfoods in Madison Heights for those who want to cook recipes from those countries.
