Been going to Sila since I can remember, always a family favorite. Have had several birthday parties, rehearsal dinners, showers and just large family gatherings here. Food is always excellent, but the service for the past 1-2 years has been "fair" at best. They don't seem to like to work with large groups.
Pros: Food, location, ability to accomodate large groups.
Cons: Service has dropped to poor.

My family has eaten Silas food since 1950`s. Ofcourse then it was pretty much a pizza carryout located across the street. We watched the restaurant be built and shortly afterwards added on to. The place could use a bit of a remodel, but how can they do that with place so busy? I like the place for lunch or dinner and do get carryouts. Dinners are reasonably priced with generaous potions and true Italian cusine. You cannot go wrong with things like the Linguini and clam sauce or even something as basic as as the speghetti. It is all good! I also like their antipasto and ministroni soup is very good. They also offer up an ali fofo which is cheese and tomato cauce on a cripsy bun for those looking formore of a sandwhich or sub type meal. They have american items incase maybe you have someone not into italian. Chicken, fish etc. ( I like their fish and chips as well). Of course their pizza is what gave them their start and if you try it, you will have no doubt as to why. I like the Sila special which includes amny popular toppings or sometimes I feel like I want this and not that and order it to my own taste sometimes. Their pizza is great! I also like their antipasastos, very good portions and get the cheese bread sticks with them! Most places cheapen on these now days. No chick peas, thin sliced tomato instead of wedges etc. Silas has not done this. Service is very good and staff well potportioned to size of business. My favorite waitress would have to be Robin. Very nice, allways smiling and frequently checks tables for needs and takes care of them. This is not the taj mahal by any means, but most best kept secrets rarely are! THIS IS TRUE ITALIAN DINING!

I have been to Silas before and it seems to always get better. I was there last night with 10 of my family members and the food was excellent. The homemade bread sticks, lasagna, Anitpasto salad (homemade itailan dressing) and Sila Special pizza were great as usual. The servie was phenomenal. A waitress by the name Nancy catered to our every need and made my family feel as though we were part of the Sila family. Great Place and Great Service. I will definetely be back. Its nice to see family restaurants still around!!!!!

Sila's is wonderful. The servers are never cloying or phony - just committed to doing the job well. The prices are fair, and the "large" versus "small" portions cater to the budget conscious. The decor is as plain as can be and everyone likes it that way. Why? It's the food, people! Sila's is completely devoid of pretension, letting its down-home, authentic Italian food speak for itself. NOTE: both the cheese ravioli with tomato sauce and the pizza alla donna fillipa are the best you will ever eat anywhere, period.

The last of a dying breed -- The family owned sit down pizzeria. Pizza is great, italian dishes are even better!

Enjoyed a wonderful meal for a reasonable price. The serving sizes are adjustable for the diet conscious. A few windows would be preferred, but overall a wonderful place to eat and enjoy the food.
Pros: Inexpensive, Food, Friendly waitstaff

Just good ole' good pizza. Didn't find this place till I had been in the area for Years. Its not too big, always packed, and I suspect folks just aren't talkin to keep the lines down.
Pros: Pizza
Cons: Parking
