If you are a large, homely man with a sour attitude and a surly demeanor, why not open a comic book shop? That's certainly what the owner of Time Traveler's did! His store is nothing special. While it is stuffed with tons of different toys, comics, and collectibles that would make comic enthusiasts and kids alike drool, it is also stuffy, dirty, and a lot of the stuff in the store is just junk. He will offer his brutally honest opinion about the comics you are interested in and if you try to sell him stuff, he will rip your stuff apart before offering an insultingly low price for it. Although I'm sure you could find some interesting things in there, I'd be happy never to see the owners ugly, unfriendly mug ever again. Go to Warp 9 in Clawson instead. It's smaller, but much more shopper-friendly. After all, isn't that what a store is supposed to be?

Pros: You may find a hidden gem if you can manage to sift through the piles of dusty junk

Cons: The owner, the prices, the customer service, all laughable

Time Travelers is the best comic shop I've been to. They have the biggest selection of new comics I've ever seen at one store. The comic pull service is fantastic, they'll pull whatever new books you want and hold them for you so they don't sell out. Plus, new books are 20% off, you can't really beat that. If you're looking for something related to comics, toys, cards, or collectibles they probably have it. For the older crowd, walking in there is like a trip down memory lane and for the younger crowd, new memories are waiting. Get there fast and say hi to Mike, Carey, and Dave, they'll help you with whatever you may need. Keep up the great work, guys.

Pros: Collector's Cave Ambience, Customer Service, Variety, Staff

Cons: None for me.

I went there to pick up two books, I skimmed through each and the attendent basically told me to read them at home. He gave some lame excuse saying someone came in and read 6 books and didn't buy. I don't think a customer should be pressured to buy and go home. It's bad business. I wouldn't recommend going here. They need to understand customer service and realize that the more people are given the chance to read the books chances are they will buy the ones they plan to buy and maybe pick up a few more they never read or new existed. I'm not shopping there anymore.

My best friend worked there for over 12 years. They have everything you need if you're a comic fan. Plus they have tons and tons of collectibles, probably the biggest this side of the country.

Pros: Variety, Helpful, Great Location

Cheap Fun

Everybody can afford at least something—if not a framed check signed by Vincent Price ($399), then an old Indiana Jones comic book (50 cents).
